Happy Faces I Can See

IMG_3412Blog

Did you hear Larbs + Matt’s news!?!?! Congrats to Matt!!! So excited they’ll be moving to Durham, and of course Duke is close to my heart.

IMG_3408Blog

Today, we feasted on pancakes.

Buttermilk + Honey Kodiak Cakes to be specific! I loved the flavor! The buttermilk was detectable and tangy. These are still whole grain – just have buttermilk instead of milk in the dry mix. Hope to have a deal for you when they debut into OpenSky!

Matt, the master mixer, was in charge this morning

The four flavors included:

  • Plain
  • Banana Flax (my fav!)
  • Chocolate Peanut
  • Cranberry Coconut

Topping with a tsp each of:

  • Hazelnut butter
  • Sunflower butter
  • Nat. Nutty Pepita Cinnamon Vanilla

You must be so excited to have your sister moving closer to you! I’m jealous– my sister and I are twenty hours away from each other, and I miss her so much!

I love pancake breakfasts on Saturday mornings. It’s just the perfect start to a weekend. And what a fabulous idea on doing a bunch of different varieties in smaller pancakes.

I’m still working on enjoying a bunch of flavors mixed together. Today I tried to put peanut butter on my pumpkin muffin and I just couldn’t do it, but I really enjoyed eating them separately! haha

    The pancakes look delish!

I have a question: why is your opensky shop so expensive? I find the prices really outrageous, even with sales, for the products listed. Just wondering if you could shed some light on this…

Because specialty products aren’t cheap? They are all fairly priced against other online sites as well. I don’t pick the prices – the companies who sell them do.

Some of the items can be found cheaper on other sites, which also often offer free shipping. That said, some of the items in OS can only be found there.

Banana pancakes are my favorite! I usually mash them into the batter, but will have to try the slices. This looks easier and I love how bananas caramelize when grilled.

I’m glad that its out (although I found it obvious) that YOU don’t pick the prices Kath 🙂 In fact, if one does their research, the prices in your shop are lower than some other online places AND you have great deals for us. I know that those deals have made it possible for me to be able to afford luxury products that i otherwise couldn’t have. xo.

Have loved your blog for nearly three years now, but rarely comment. Have a lovely Christmas!
