Here’s a recap of our Halloween, including Mazen’s spirit walker costume.
Halloween 2025
I think it’s safe to say that Mazen stole the show this year with his costume! It’s inspired by something he saw on YouTube and also heavily influenced by this blog post tutorial.
Mazen has been building the costume for MONTHS – day by day after school.

Halloween was a hit!
Harry Potter
Harry had a great day at school for Book Character Day! I joined him for a little parent party that afternoon.
And then it was time for trick-or-treating!
I went out with Birch while Thomas stayed to pass out candy and supervise Mazen. We don’t get a ton of trick-or-treaters at our house, so eventually Thomas took over with Birch and I escorted Mazen down the block where he spooked more people.
Trampoline Party
The next day, on my dad’s birthday, we had Birch’s friend party at Get Air trampoline park (his #1 request this year). He had a blast with his friends!
And now we move into the holiday season!

Mazen did such a great job on his costume! I’m not familiar with the character but looking online, it’s clear that Mazen crushed it!
I love Birch’s lightning glasses too!

Thank you I will tell him!
