Good Old Greek

Good summer morning!

IMG_9872 (640x427)

My-oh-my it’s been so long since I’ve had greek yogurt!!! I picked up an Oikos at Whole Foods yesterday to have for breakfast this morning. Mmmmmmm!!!

IMG_9875 (640x427)

I made a parfait with banana, Wheaties, Opera Girl Granola, homemade plum jam, slivered almonds

IMG_9877 (640x427)

Plus chilled coffee (*not iced because there’s no ice!)

Have fun in chicago! If you get a chance, stop @ xoco on Illinois for some tasty and inexpensive Mexican food! This is Rick bayless’s newest concept restaurant. The freshly ground cacao and almond milk is to die for! You really should take the bears over to the American girl doll store on Michigan avenue as well; )

Greek yogurt really is delicious. It tastes really decadent while being so healthy!! You probably already know this but you can make your own by just taking plain yogurt and putting it into a mesh-strainer lined with coffee filters. Leave it in your fridge overnight and you have Greek yogurt in the morning!
