Forget Something?

I didn’t forget to blog

 this !
But Anna was in the airport security line and realized her driver’s license was still in my gym bag from having to use it to get into the YMCA!!!!!!!!!! Luckily I was just 10 minutes away and turned around to pick her back up, we raced back to my house, debated calling her a cab so I could get to lab on time but when we realize a cab would take 20 minutes to get there I just ran her back. Luckily the airport is only about 20 minutes from my house. She made her flight and I was 20 minutes late for lab. Whew!

As a result, I had to eat my packed lunch in the car. I was quite starving by 1:00 when I started on my sandwich. I was able to eat my salad and yogurt at red lights and by picking out the big pieces from my lap. It wasn’t the most enjoyable lunch!

Barney Butter (1 tbsp) + Jam on GH Honey Wheat

A Spinach Salad made with carrot, pineapple, grapes + raspberry blush vinegar

And a yogurt with some homemade granola (which I ate by itself)

SO SAD Anna is gone! She was the perfect houseguest – she even washed all of her sheets and towels while I was at chemistry this morning!

I didn’t have a snack this afternoon because I was busy knocking things off my to-do list. I’m all set for 5 days of relaxation!! Well, I have class tomorrow and have a handful of assignments to do over the break, but I have plenty of time to do them.

Anyways, I didn’t have a snack but was quite starving by 7pm.

For dinner I heated up some of our leftover Kale, Beef + Butternut Soup. Mmmmm!

Plus some GH bread on the side –

But it was stale so I only had a few pieces and went back for this guy:

The husband brought home a piece of pumpkin cake. I didn’t want to hurt his feelings, so I had a tiny slice. (Anna, wish you could have joined me!)

The husband and I planned our Thanksgiving grocery list during dinner. It’s gonna be a close call for the $126 Challenge! Thankfully the turkey and wine are taken care of and our families are bringing side dishes and pies. We’re doing several sides ourselves along with hosting my parents for the weekend.

I played around on this cool site today when I was brainstorming: Center’d. It’s great for both Thanksgiving + party planning!

Off to take a bath!!

I also dislike eating on the run and in a rush. I usually feel I want to eat more when that happens!

I looooove pumpkin bars/cake!!! The frosting is the BEST part! I haven’t had any yet this year…but come Thanksgiving I’m hoping I’ll get some! I’m not going home this year, so unfortunately it won’t be my grandma’s 🙁 I may try to make them myself…although if they’re around I’ll probably eat toooo many!

Sounds like the end of Anna’s trip was quite a ride. I’m glad everything worked out though. Although I don’t think you would have been upset if Anna had missed her flight! 🙂

It’s a protective tube in the color aqua. I think you’re supposed to remove it, but it looked so pretty with the color contrast I had to leave it on!

    Biz319 ,
Yay!! 26 is the new banana oatmeal 😉

    michelle ,
I can’t remember if there’s a store finder on the site (www.barneybutter.com) but you might want to check there. You could email Jennifer as well. I know it will be in Fresh Market starting in January. Not sure if you have those. Otherwise, there’s still free shipping (I think) if you buy two jars, which I am planning to do soon! I think the code is ship4free (search for it in my past posts to double check).
