Oh wow, check out that pudding consistency!

Still haven’t tried that particular Barbara’s cereal (the oat one). It’s next on my list to try as I am pretty sure I’ve tried every other one that they make (PB, corn, cinnamon…)

OATMEAL SQUARES!! My first introduction to nutrition was in second grade, and we put potato chips and oatmeal squares on a paper towel and watched the oil seep out of the chips. It was the first time I had been introduced to oatmeal squares cereal and I was so excited, because with my sweet tooth I would have chosen that delicious snack over potato chips any day! I hadn’t realized until writing this comment that that day probably sparked my interest in the field, and here I am starting my DI. Wow!

Announcement suspense is killing me! Is it weird that I am so excited to hear your “baby is coming” news? After reading your blog for almost a year now, it is almost like waiting for a good friend to call and let you know they are headed to the hospital! So happy for you both 🙂

Kath, I’ve finished up the ends of my Puffins, honey bunches, Oatmeal Squares and Uncle Sam and I can’t decide which cereal I want to buy next. Could you please recommend one or a couple as the all around best choices for nutrition and deliciousness?

P.S. I had a yogurt bowl this morning and it reminded me of you… Cup of plain yogurt, half a whole wheat chocolate chip muffin, small nectarine, couple strawberries, half a banana, chia and sunflower butter – mmmm!

Kashi Cinnamon Harvest, the Barbaras Oatmeal Squares, Cheerios, Whole Foods brand wheat squares are some that come to mind. Simple ingredients, fair protein and fiber, lower than 10 grams of sugar per serving.
