Detour

Today has been quite the hurricane in itself!! I set my alarm for 6:26 so I could meet Kelsey + Ashley for some hot yoga. Ashley just moved to Denver but was back for a visit!

I came downstairs to find NO POWER!? I had it upstairs but not down. Very confused. I thought maybe it was the circuit breaker so I checked that with no luck. And then I realized the fridge was out and started to get nervous. What if there was a problem with our wiring that was caused by the outage and caused the downstairs to not come back on.

I decided to just hope it was back on when I got home and made myself a mini breakfast: Great Harvest Cranberry Orange Muffin + Nuttzo lit by a flashlight!

AND THEN THE POWER CAME ON!!! Saved the day.

Yoga class started at 8 and was great. Nice and warm on a chilly day. Afterwards K+A invited me back for pancakes!! I wasn’t that hungry from my muffin, but I decided to join them to hang out some more despite not having dry clothes or my camera! Thanks to Kelsey’s camera for the juice.

On the menu: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Pancakes!

Ashley made two K’s and A!

This hurricane-turned-tropical-storm-turned-torrential-downpour is crazy! VA has even declared a state of emergency. I just hope to keep my electricity(although it can go off in my office, that would be fine).

What a great way to start the day! Like Amanda, the closest hot yoga class is 45 minutes away and it starts at 7:00 a.m.!

I should look again though to see if one is closer, I haven’t checked for a while.

I love when problems fix themselves! Yay for the power coming back on magically.

I always make shapes or letters with my pancakes! My papa always use to make big ‘A’ pancakes when I was little, and they just don’t taste as good unless they look like an ‘A’!

I also wanted to tell you that I was at a Pavilion’s grocery store the other day and saw that they sell those Biscoff cookies you get on your flights. Don’t know if you have those stores in your area though, I am in southern california. Thought you’d like to know!
