The guys are working on another project this morning, so I had the new porch to myself!

IMG_0741Blog

Cannot wait to use all 16 x 13 feet for blogability!!!

Breakfast was overnight oats made with the Great Harvest Cinnamon Raisin mix, yogurt, milk, chia, and banana. Tasted like an oatmeal cookie!!!! I added some bran flakes and chia charger for toppings.

IMG_0737Blog

This stuff is really good – like a rich seedy peanut butter [coming to OpenSky?]

IMG_0731BlogIMG_0740Blog

Tea on the side – Candy Apple black tea that was a freebie with my Adagio order. It was good, but not flavored enough.

IMG_0739BlogIMG_0727Blog

We have one of two sliding doors!!!!!!

IMG_0742Blog

I couldn’t sleep last night because I forgot to turn the heat down and it kept turning on and blasting me sweaty. I finally got up at 5 to turn it down. We need to install a programmable thermostat!

Thus, I am exhausted from interrupted sleep and finally calling it quits at 6 and getting up to start the day.

Happy Friday y’all!

I saw that Chia Charger from Tina on Carrots ‘N’ Cake too – sounds amazing!! I had the same problem this morning. The one morning I could “sleep in”, I was up at 5 a.m. Not because of our heater, but really for no reason. Maybe my body is still getting used to the time change, I have no idea. Oh well. Makes for some extra productive hours!

Ok last night was a full moon and although some people dismiss this type of thing…full moons are notorious!! for sleep disturbances.

In yoga, the world is full of prana, or life force energy and people have more energy and are more…awake.

New moons are a time of apana, downward pulling energy, and that’s why people tend to be more lethargic and lower key.

The moons are very powerful. It could of course just be your thermostat but the moon stuff is at play, too, I’d suspect!

Ok good! Things also tend to break during full moons, i.e. appliances, tech issues, car trouble, mechanical stuff, and interpersonal relationships tend to be heated or intense or passionate. Lots of energy is out there swirling. Some ways good, some ways…not as good. I’ll stop now with the moon talk 🙂

I totally believe in the weirdness that happens on full moon nights! I work in a hospital laboratory and we’re often crazy busy in our blood bank on those nights. My mom is a nursing home administrator/registered nurse and says that the patients in the nursing homes often act very strangely then, too. All weird!

You so need to get the programmable thermostat! I love having it, especially at night when I CAN’T STAND to be hot 😉

You can set the temp from your laptop or for sure from an iPhone, not sure about other apps available for different phones. I love it! When I wake up early, I can turn the heat on from bed and go downstairs to it blasting!

Is the Chia Charger better than eating plain chia seeds, being that you are essentially getting more bang from your buck with the combination of the chia seeds and the protein in the peanut butter? I will definitely have to give that a try.

I installed a programmable thermastat in my house all by myself and I’m not mechanically inclined in the least! Pretty easy and didn’t take too much time. I would recommend that you get the bit more expensive one the cycles on every so often if the air/heat doesn’t come on automatically due to a temp change. I notice in the summer (at night especially) if the air cond. is set to a certain temp and doesn’t need to kick on at all during the night (I keep my sorta high), that it gets a little stale in the house. I’m sure you can totally do it too Kath!
