Composition

Mornin’

Feeling smooth today. Matt and I were supposed to go running first thing because we have a lot of errands to run today, but Bikram did a number on my spine! I’m pretty stiff/sore, so I’m taking a rest day to run the errands instead of the roads.

IMG_1490 (640x427) (2)

Composition

IMG_1464 (640x427) (2)

Half banana, half peach (Matt stole the other halves!), handful ice, 1 cup soy milk, scant 1/4 cup Vega Vanilla Chai ( <– mi favorita!)

IMG_1465 (640x427) (2)

The best bowl for the job: Cali Bowl! No sloshing allowed.

IMG_1471 (640x427) (2)

IMG_1473 (640x427) (2)

I left the oats out of my smoothie to make room for bigger and better grains

IMG_1476 (640x427) (2)

IMG_1475 (640x427) (2)

Plus some Galaxy granola and Justins liquidy + spreadable hazelnut buttah!

IMG_1478 (640x427) (2)

IMG_1486 (640x427) (2)

My cravings for SIABs have not weakened!

IMG_1484 (640x427) (2)

No coffee = tea

I got this sampler from Golden Moon ages ago. What I love about it is that there are SO many flavors to try – today’s was Snow Sprout!!

IMG_1466 (640x427)

Lite + sweet

One of our errands today is to a not-very-pleasant destination. Any guesses!?

Hint: It’s not medical related

I was saddened to learn of your clever coffee machine leaving you in the lurch. It must have been a crushing blow. However, I was gladdened to read all your food/budget tips. Seems like an entirely rational approach to better living. One thing I have done is to limit restaurant visits. Only twice since last November and the twice were to hard core Mexican places (hard core means they have menudo 7 days a week) for the benefit of my spouse. We are trying to emulate many of your eating practices. It is not easy since we live in the armpit of the Southwest (UTEP/NMSU area) and will never have a Trader Joe’s or a Whole Foods. But, we keep trying . Thanks for all your hard work! Hope the booboos heal quickly.

Good to see you listening to your body and resting from exercise, doesn’t seem like you do that much with working out.

You pour your smoothie so neatly into the bowl! That is incredibly impressive.

Good luck with whatever the unpleasant errand is! I have never minded the DMV, but hate the doctor’s office. Ick.

I’m gonna guess and say the hardware store? I hate going to the hardware store!
And I was soooo going to make a smoothie this morning, but we are out of almond milk 🙁 At least I can live vicariously through yours! 😀

As I read this I am eating a smoothie bowl…

My husband and I went to Oahu a couple years ago and had our first official smoothie bowl from Lanikai Juice. SOOO amazing. You can look at the menu online (http://www.lanikaijuice.com/). I have gotten many ideas from them.

We loved it so much when we came back to California we started writing a business plan to open our own smoothie bowl shop. But we got so caught up with life and our real jobs it didn’t end up happening.

    Go SIABs!

The Vanilla Chai product looks so yummy, did you buy it online or where you able to find it in a store?
