Citrus Saves The Day

I am currently gazing at this!

IMG_2594Blog

This truly feels like paradise!

IMG_2596Blog

75 degrees and climbing to 85!

IMG_2597Blog

But there’s trouble in paradise: last night’s waitress did not remember to abide by my 2-drink-per-day-max rule and kept filling my wine glass! Thus, I’m not my usual chipper self this morning. Feeling much better after breakfast though.

I had to crack into my emergency hangover treatment on the first night! Not off to a great start! I’ve been saving this Amazing Grass lemon/lime packet for ages. It just didn’t sound very good. And you know what? It wasn’t good! I drank about half the glass and dumped the rest. Yuck! Hopefully I got enough in me to do something magic to my hangover.

IMG_2593Blog

The real lifesaver was real food!

IMG_2604Blog

As I said yesterday, the breakfast here is super expensive and thank goodness we have a mini fridge – we had all the space to store some yogurts to make breakfast! Bowls, yogurt and bananas from Publix (breakfast for 3 for half the price of 1 here!) and granola, peanut butter (a tiny bit I brought in a tiny jar) and spoon from home. Really, even more than saving money, I just like to be able to eat breakfast (and blog!) when I wake up rather than waiting for everyone to get up and get dressed to go out. [FYI, Karen is still snoring!]

IMG_2601Blog

I found the new Chobani lemon at Publix last night – it was great!! Loved it. But then I tired a bite of Matt’s pineapple and realized that nothing trumps pineapple.

IMG_2598Blog

This coffee is called the Beachwater Blend!

IMG_2600Blog

Actually it wasn’t that bad

Smile this !

IMG_2599Blog

The conference begins at 7PM tonight with a welcome reception, so we’ve got all day today to play in the sun. First thing’s first: gotta get my toes in that sand!

Sorry you’re not feeling tip top! That lovely view will certainly aid in your recovery though!

I have to say, naming a coffee “beachwater blend” makes it sound really unappealing!

A few years ago I went back and still liked it, but the prices are insane now! I LOVED going to the “snook inn” and it’s still a nice place, overpriced though. But you will be seeing dolphins there and that’s gorgeous…great memories!

And the stuffed artichokes if they have them on special. Wow I’m so jealous, even tho I was just there in January! Have the best time ever!
