You are here: Home / Lifestyle / Cheerio!

Cheerio!

I slept much better last night with a cooler room and ear plugs, but we’re running on only 6.5 hours of sleep 🙁

We’re also running late because there was a THREE INCH ROACH in our bathroom this morning! Thankfully Karen saw it first, she’s much braver than I am and actually showered with it nearby. I was standing up on the bed on the lookout.

Three cheers for our hero: Kanzi!! He rescued us bravely (but reluctantly) and I was able to shower calmly. Whew. There is something instinctually terrorizing for me about them. I know they’re not going to hurt me, but I convulse just thinking about it.

I was in the mood for cold cereal this morning. I had a teeny bit too much wine last night and am feeling a little parched. So I dove into the Cheerios, which are a good option being low sugar and with some fiber to ‘em.

Complemented with half a banana, 2% milk (yum!), and more Flanigan Farm’s Trail Mix

Plus a shot of OJ

IMG_6197 (1024x768)

And a shot of coffee –

We’re all dressed up and walking to the Superdome for graduation. I’ve got an array of Clif Bars for us to have mid-morning because we’re not having brunch until 2pm!

I’m (unfortunately) the roach killer in our house. My husband is terrified of them. So, I take the bugs (I used to live in Australia, and the bugs are so big there, you get used to them!), and he takes any other critters (we’ve had incidents with frogs and bats before!)

i absolutely love how you’re always prepared for everyone that you’re with! I try to be like that, especially on road trips, i think it makes me feel like a dork, but when we save money, everyone’s like AWESOME! and i feel better when we have food with us instead of buying!!!

    Hey Kath,

What do you think of the adminstrations recent attack on Cheerios? Are they serious?!

Or do you think Cheerios really is engaging in false marketing?

I love Cheerios in the morning so would be curious to hear your opinion.

    Thanks!
