Celebration

Another week has come to a close, and that’s cause for celebration!!!

IMG_2041Blog-2

Beer while bookkeeping – assurance there are no pennies double counted!!! [Blame boss Matt!]

IMG_2037Blog

Soon enough I was dancing pirouettes in my new dress!

IMG_2038-2Blog

It really did remind me of a ballerina –

dancingBlog-2

Five Bamboo sent me this dress and I love it!! It’s heavy, so it hugs in the right places, and also the V-neck is quite flattering. It’s also super soft!! They’re also a sponsor of the HLS this year!!

IMG_2056Blog

IMG_2052Blog

Soon enough we met Karen downtown for a delicious diner at Fellini’s! Fellini’s always has live music and it’s one of Karen’s favorite. Ours too now that we’ve actually eaten dinner there!

IMG_2059Blog-2 IMG_2060Blog-2IMG_2068Blog

The bartender, who also happened to be the owners’ daughter and super cool, was lovely to get to know. Jo was awesome!!

IMG_2067Blog-2

She served Matt a beer and served me a super sweet Manhattan, which is right up my alley!

IMG_2071Blog

We enjoyed some bar talk – only 10 minutes of Great Harvest and we changed the subject to non-business!!!

IMG_2063Blog-2

With dinner had had an AMAZING ZIN recommended by Jo. Seriously, this was the best red wine I’ve had in a restaurant this year. Go find it now! I know we will! It was soooooooo smooth!! Velvety!

IMG_2075Blog

We enjoyed some homemade focaccia – made by the owner of Fellini’s himself we learned. As bread snobs we gave it two thumbs up!

IMG_2079Blog-2

And we tried the calamari at Jo’s recommendation: butter, sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and more, it was awesome to taste without fried breading

IMG_2078Blog-2

For dinner I had the portabello salad – complete with cheese and all. The dressing was awesome and the salad was plenty for dinner.

IMG_2083Blog

But I still shared the Orecchiette  {“Little Ears” pasta ,Italian sausage and rapini with vodka cream sauce} with Karen

IMG_2085Blog-2

And tried Matt’s ravioli of the day. Both were super rich yet amazing!

IMG_2088Blog

We’ve had a heck of a workweek and are SOOOO excited for a day off tomorrow!! Matt is brewing beer and I’m doing absolutely nothing! Except for going to Whole Foods!! FuN!!!

Nite!!

Also, that dress is super cute, I agree with Allied – red is definitely your color!

That dress is so cute! While I love summer dresses, I hate when they require strapless bras (super uncomfy), which this one clearly does not. Score!

And Five Bamboo sent me a tshirt and skirt. I blogged about it. Love.Their.Stuff.

Omg…it’s like heaven on earth. The bamboo clings to all the right places, and gives slack in others, and is soo soft. I am in heaven with my stuff and you look rockin’ in the red dress!

We tried that same Opolo Zin this year at a wine bar a few months back! I found it at Costco for around $15…we do live about 3 hours from the winery, but it might be worth a shot to see if your local Costco carries it too! The price is unbeatable!
