Banana Breakfast

Yay for sunshine!!

IMG_6798

Yesterday was just rotten bananas.

IMG_6799

For breakfast today I carried down a near-rotten banana plus a packet of Barney Butter I brought from home. Smothered onto a bagel!

IMG_6802

IMG_6805

Plus a pile of that delicious fruit!

IMG_6803

And I added a glass of milk for a splash more protein. Good thing there’s always coffee everywhere so you can always find milk on a continental breakfast.

We have half day of sessions to attend and then we’re hoping today to get out for some beach combing!

I just got back from a run and it’s a little nicer here today than yesterday and hopefully will clear up…I hate it when we get rain in San Diego and I know I have friends here from out of town…I want you to experience only sunshine and rainbows 🙂

Having a few supplemental food items can really help spice up a hotel continental breakfast — peanut butter is one of my staples, too!

Looks like some of the pregnancy nausea may have passed just in time for you to enjoy this trip. Have fun in the sun 🙂

HIGHLY recommend checking out Miguel’s while you’re there for their white cheese sauce. It’s so amazing people buy it in bulk! It’s within walking distance of the Hotel del. http://www.brigantine.com/miguels_cocina/location-coronado.html Also, if you want some romance, head back to the Silver Strand to the Loews hotel…they have a gondola ride there 🙂 http://www.gondolacompany.com/ Couldn’t help myself, since your mom-in-law might not know about those 🙂

I love that you drink cow’s milk, raisin bagels and gluten ( I eat bagels with milk ALL the time – great snacks too). I find amongst bloggers it is a rare thing. I love these items 🙂 Your breakfasts are always good options to add into my rotation.

I am in a lunch rut though and seriously need to change this!

You definitely put those who say they can’t eat healthy when on away from home, to shame. There’s no reason you can’t still eat a balance diet even when your choices are more limited. Got a banana? Check! Got a bagel? Check! Got some peanut butter? Heck yes! And there ya go. Awesome breakfast and very little preparation. Way to be, Kath, way to be!

the great thing about trying to balance meals when others might, at first glance, think it impossible – is that you have to use some imagination! 😀 and a little bacon never hurt anyone 😀
