47 Years Of Clothes

Can’t beat fresh berries!!

IMG_7288

Second breakfast was great – Great Harvest toast with TJ’s almond butter

IMG_7294

And two bowls of fresh berries!

IMG_7293

Plus some tea from the free hotel bar

IMG_7291

And then we were off!

IMG_7296

Pretty much 3/4 of my clothing comes from trips to Loehmann’s over the years. I still have items I got 10 years ago from Christmas trips. My mom has been going for 47 years! She remembers the first outfit she got there – a dusty rose sweater and pink print corduroy pants.

IMG_7297

This trip I didn’t do too much clothes shopping, but I found a few tops with room to grow into and a purse. PLUS – the baby received its first set of onesies!! With an underwater theme in green + yellow.

IMG_7298

We were quite hungry for lunch at 1pm. What is it about shopping that makes you so hungry!? We had a table full of items, and I made a half chicken salad sandwich with cheese + crackers and fruit.

IMG_7304

Plus a glass of milk

IMG_7305

IMG_7303

My grandmother passed down to my mom who passed down to me a love for desserts. We had FOUR kinds on the table at lunch! An apple cheery pie (from TJ’s), a bag of fancy chocolates, a chocolate cake and Chocolate Bliss cookies from the bakery. PLUS Easter Peeps for my mom!

IMG_7308

I had a small slice of pie plus a few bites of the rest.

IMG_7306

And Gram sent me home with these commemorative War of 1812 hand-pressed chocolates. It’s the 200 year anniversary!

IMG_7287

I’m hitting the road in just a few. My trips here are always quick but packed full of fun!

Not sure if you’ve mentioned this, do you plan to find out the baby’s sex?

We’d always have that kind of lunch with my grandma– bread with cheeses and hummus and pâtés and salad and fruit.. And I’d make little mini open faced sandwiches on different parts of my bread. My grandma called them my little parcels 🙂
She must be so excited she’s going to be a great grandma!
