3 Cheers For Coffee

Figured I’d say hello while I’m waiting to digest and then head over to Seamane’s for race carpool.

I was very lucky to awaken in a dream this morning, which meant I already felt awake and wasn’t groggy. I’m kind of excited actually!

Heard the coffee pot working.

Then I SMELLED it!! Just like in the commercials.

3 Cheers for Pre-Race Coffee

1) Helps with the sleep deprivation

2) Helps with the bowels (it’s true)

3) Works as an ergogenic aid = faster running

Especially if you’re not used to it and had 1.5 cups like I just did – wheeeeeeeeee!

IMG_6599-2Blog

Delicious, delicious Dakota bun half with smashed banana and sunflower buttah!!

And off I go!

Dakota, is that a bagel. Your breakfast looks really tasty. I wish I was a coffee drinker. I only like it if it has a lot of chocolate – think dessert. Good luck on your race.

Coffee is a good stimulant but I found it would speed up my heart rate too much and be uncomfortable if I was going to exert myself.

I thought your breakfast was a baked potato – the banana looks like the white stuff. But couldn’t figure out why there seeds stuck to the skin!
