It’s a good morning indeed.
Even this bee who has been staring me down after I put my hand on his nest agrees!
Breakfast was already made. Wish my bed had been already made.
Overnight oats made with Coach’s oats, milk, yogurt, cinnamon, chia seeds, banana, blueberries, raspberries and some crumbled savannah bar that Matt brought home for me last night!
Coconut tea!
Listening to Brad Paisley over breakfast this morning. My favorite artist of all time!! Country music really does warm the soul.
So does finishing a to-do list the day before!
Have a great Wednesday!

Your tweet has made me wanna Father of the Bride for the umpteenth time!!
Ooo, I haven’t had overnight oats in a hot minute! Love the coconut tea too. I really only like flavored black teas – like Trader Joe’s Vanilla & Cinnamon – so this ones sounds uber yummy.
Happy hump day!
Love the new header too! Such bright and vibrant pictures to include!
Oh, I love, love, love Brad Paisley too…his lyrics are sometimes hysterical, always full of soul!
Have a beautiful day, Kath!
All good days involve a to-do list!
I like Brad Paisley too! And country music, it is just so “American”!
Oh, good morning, breakfast looks delicious…I need to get cracking on my to-do list…gotta go!
Good luck at bakery!
The first picture is gorgeous! And so is breakfast
yummy.
I wish my bed were made too! I’m washing the sheets so it will be nice to climb into a fresh clean bed tonight. Love Brad Paisley and love the pictures of your breakfast. How nice of Matt to bring you a Savannah bar. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Love the overnight oat bowl! What a great morning for you haha
That bee looks like it’s out to get you
My life just got very busy. To-do lists are my savior! And I also applaud you for blogging 3X/day. It’s hitting me for the first time how truly amazing bloggers are at fitting it all in!
I saw your tweet before and am always so jealous that Annie Banks (fav movie ever!) is married to him! They are both so sweet!
Mmm…your oats look fabulous. What’s in a Savannah bar? It looks goooooood.
Coconut tea?? Sounds good!
Do you make your bed every day? I can’t convince myself to make the bed unless I change the sheets.
Always. As soon as I get up. Except for Sundays “in case I need to get back in”
Ha! I do the same. Sundays are a free day too mostly because my husband gets back in!
Maybe its just because I don’t move around in my sleep at all most of the time, but I’ve always wondered what “making the bed” means to others or why it would be something to not feel like doing- I just pull the sheets up over the pillows and then the duvet, and toss whatever throw pillows I’m using back on- it takes me like 15 seconds. Do y’all have really elaborate bedding or something?!
Agreed. It takes me 10 seconds!
Coconut tea! I’ve never heard of such a lovely invention. Gotta seek that out for sure
Breakfast > making the bed. Forever.
I don’t think I have ever heard a Brad Paisley song.
What can I say? Country music is NOT my jam.
However, I adore “Annie Banks”.
Your overnight oats are looking particularly scrumptious today… must be that Savannah bar!
~
So glad you’re a fellow Paisley fan. The BEST.
And I’m loving your breakfast this morning!
Such a beautiful morning!!
Paisley + overnight oats sure does make for a great combo!
I adore that last photo.
I’ve never been too huge into country music but lately I’ve been listening to a lot. Have you ever heard of Zac Brown Band? My sister just got me into them and they’re good. And my friend (he lives in Charlotte!) just got me into a song by “Southern Culture on the Skids” (called “Whole Lotta Things”) that I really liked. They’re hail from Chapel Hill! I also love the Crazy Heart soundtrack. SO many good songs on there.
LURVE Zac Brown Band!!
Love the sunny photo
totally put a smile on my face because my morning involved me waking up late and now I’m choking down a batch of granola that I made on the weekend that went soggy, blech! But I hate wasting food so I’m enduring
crumbled savannah bar = one of my top favorite oatmeal toppings!
Gret photos! And the breakfast looks great, especially the Savannah bar!!
I love Brad Paisley
I think I like country music the most when I’m driving.. it keeps me awake for long trips!
I like Brad Paisley too! I will listen to nothing but Country music for months and then all of a sudden switch to something else. I love that I can actually understand the words and most of the time the music just makes me feel so good!
Just blogged about my love for country music! Sav crumbles
I love me some brad paisley!!! … Not too mention he is pretty nice eye candy too!
Absolutely! I’ve seen him in concert 3 times and 2 of those times I TOUCHED HIS HAND!!
Gah!! You TOUCHED his hand! I am SUPER jelous! I would probably have fainted and/or never washed my hand again!!!!
…I kid, I kid (sort of!)
I’ve had coconut coffee before but never coconut tea! Sounds fantastic.
I don’t know Brad Paisley, I’ll have to check him out.
Have a great day!
I love Brad Paisley! He’s awesome in concert if you ever get the chance to see him (or maybe you already have seen him!).
Enjoy your Wednesday as well!
I have – I have touched his skin!! And he almost kicked me in the head with his cowboy boot. I saw him at the NC state fair before he was famous so I was front row for $15!
I know this is off topic. I was wondering what is the best way to save a recipe post from a website in a folder that you could go back to? You are the most internet savvy, foodie, blogger, etc, that I know to ask. I tried to save as a webpage in a folder but I think some of them diassapeared?
Can’t wait to see pics of the house!! Congrats
I use Evernote, which has a website clipper that you can put in your toolbar to save recipes.
Brad is great! But Tim McGraw is my favorite male country artist
Tim is good, but not as hot
True. Brad Paisley does have those eyes…
My favorite country artist is Keith Urban, although country music is not usually my first pick. My favorite artist is Paul McCartney & I usually go for classic rock or other music of the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s.
It is a beautiful morning! Brad Paisley is an amazing musician. There’s Something about country music That is just so heartfelt and touching!
Don’t annoy the guard bee. He looks mean.
Love love love Brad Paisley, and country music in general!
What a lovely bowl of oats! I broke out the pumpkin overnight oats today- close enough to fall for me! We have a cold front moving in! Oh who am I kidding, I’ve been finding excuses to eat pumpkin all summer…
AH! I have never tried overnight oats and yours always look delicious! I am putting it on the “to do” list!
PS – the fact that you love Brad Paisley makes me like you and your blog even more!
I thought it was Thursday until I saw the last sentence! My week is all jumbled
I love coconut tea with honey and milk, and I love Brad Paisley shirtless and singing.
Coconut tea sounds fantastic. I’ve never seen it out by me! Oh-and random story. I had a dream last night that you and Matt moved into my neighborhood and we all met. If this is not a sign that I am reading too many blogs, I don’t know what is. lol
I feel like I actually accomplished something when I complete my to-do list — a fruitful day when to-dos are completed!

Sounds like a lovely morning!
i’m a big fan of “old” country music – patsy cline, ricky nelson…
You must be a Carolina Girl at heart!! I like BP too, and his wife, forget her name, but she was in “Father of the Bride” – best movie ever.
Breakfast looks terrific ! And coconut tea sounds refreshing. Great post!
Country music is by far my favorite, always makes me feel good
I LOVE Brad Paisley! He’s playing the DC Area on sept 24h, I’m hoping to go!
ALSO love love love Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown!
pretty morning pics!! Have a great day
I just had my own bowl of overnight oats and it was delicious. Using your inspiration, I made my own chocolate granola last night and then added it to my bowl this morning. Can’t wait to have more tomorrow!
Mmm. I haven’t had overnight oats for quite a while! I am out of yogurt and trying to use as much stuff as I can before heading to the store!
I love Brad Paisley too! Your coconut tea sounds wonderful.
I love Brad Paisley! There is something about country music that is so wonderful. The words are simple and they tell a story. We just moved from the Midwest to the west coast and nobody listens to it here. Sad.
I am in love with anything coconut these days, maybe borderline obsessed since I have recently learned about Thai cuisine. I am going to have to try this coconut tea now and add it to the list.
I can’t wait to make it to your bakery, but I’m so busy at UVa! Is there a bus line that goes by Great Harvest? I don’t have a car.
Wish I had a Savannah bar to crumble over my smoothie!
I love country too now (after all those years swearing that I hated it!). It really is so fun to listen to. Have you heard the new Lady Gaga song where she totally goes country? Called ‘You and I’. I like it a lot!!
Brad Paisley is actually one of the very few country artists I like! Plus he’s adorable!
When I read the title of your post… I thought it was going to be about the pattern not the singer!
You just inspired me to turn on Brad Paisley on Pandora! What great music to start your day with.
I have never heard of Brad Paisley… what kind of music artist is he??? I will have to check him out when I get home from work!
I love having the bed made when I leave for work… I like knowing that I can come home to a clean house with no dishes to wash, or a bed to make. It’s like a weight off my mind and helps to to better focus on my day at work.
I forget sometimes how much a adore raspberries in oats! Last years I was really into raspberry cocoa overnight oats. Holy deliciousness
Hot country!
Brad Paisley makes every day better. <3 him!!!
I love the idea of the coconut tea but not the country music.
I was at someone’s house the other day and they played country music for 3 hours straight – I felt like pulling my hair out – Gahhhh((((
I just clicked on to your overnight oats page – I’m SOOO going to make the pumpkin oats! Yum!
And who doesn’t love Brad Paisley!? My husband thinks I like him so much because of his wife (I used to be obsessed with the movie, Father of the Bride), but REALLY it’s because he’s super cute
What a cheery little post!
Wow, as a semi…new vegetarian…i just finished reading the china study and it has made me want to become a vegan…your pictures inspire me! I love how delicious everything looks! i will be making your site a favorite forever! can’t wait to see and read some old ones.
This sounds strange but there is something super cool about the gray “protector” thing that you show a picture of when you talk about the bee. I thought the same thing when I saw the picture of it in the last post..I love old metal things like that. Very artsy.
Totally random comment, I realize
Love listening to country music when I go home to Iowa or when I’m in Wisconsin, but rarely ever listen to it here in Chicago. Weird.
I adore Brad Paisley!! Such a wonderful singer and his lyrics are awesome!! I also think his family is super cute! Oh Father of the Bride, how I love that movie!
I’ve never really given true country music a chance… but I’m a big fan of Americana music, which I guess is kind of a “light” version of country? I’ll have to give Brad Paisley a listen!
We love Brad Paisley also. We try to see him every time he comes to the Houston Rodeo. We used his song “She’s everything” (from the Time Well Wasted album) in our wedding slide show.
I never used to be into country until I met my husband. Some of it is really catchy though and puts me in a good mood.
Where did you get the coconut tea? That sounds delicious!
Adagio teas
I’m so glad to “meet” someone else who loves country. Everyone always makes fun of me for it!
I love BP too! We saw him in concert a couple of summers ago and he was great live
