Little Miss Muffin

Despite the fact that wine makes a great photograph partner, I really didn’t drink all that much last night. But I feel hungover from lack of sleep! I didn’t get in bed until 2AM! At 8 this morning I was wide awake and couldn’t stop thinking about these:

Oat Berry Muffins!

IMG_1672Blog-2

After several attempts to go back to sleep with my eye mask on, I caved to my hunger and got up to eat. I figured I could always go back to sleep after!

I filled my bowl with a cup of yogurt, lots of crumbled muffin, half a banana, blueberries, chia seeds and Smucker’s Natural.

IMG_1669Blog

Return of the chia seeds!! I’ve been out of them for a while and was using some mila I received as a sample (ground chia seeds). I didn’t really like the mila. The glory of chia seeds is eating them whole – like little pebbles. The ground version was like eating a tasteless sand. The cheapest chias I’ve found out there are from Chia Seeds Direct [free shipping!] so that’s where I bought them.

So glad to have sprinkles back in my life!

I also made a pot of coffee, but the boys don’t seem to be interested!

We have our friends here to hang with this morning and may go to brunch/lunch. Matt and I also have to go to the bakery and do last night’s paperwork since Karen was able to close down the store for us last night.

Happy Father’s Day Father!!

Dad this !

And to Father #2 : )

Is your store always closed Sundays?
I think that’s a great idea, because even if you have other work stuff
to catch up on, it is soooo nice to have one day a week you can sleep in
and have a slow ,lazy morn if your heart desires.

    Here’s to Sunday mornings!!

Maybe in the future as the business grows, you’ll be able to take an extra day off? There’s so much good to owning your own business – but “down” sides too I guess.

    Are they home-made muffins?!

I like the texture of whole chia seeds also 🙂 Its cool you don’t have to grind them up like flax seeds to get all the benifits!!

Oh man that muffin looks amazing. I would’ve caved to my hunger for that baby too! 😉

I definitely know the feeling of a sleep hangover (or lack of sleep!) – it’s the worst. You just feel woozy all day. Hope you’re able to get back to sleep later on.

Also – I recently brought back chia seeds too – forgot how great the texture is! Glad you found them again as well 😀

Beautiful Father’s Day collages! I’ll have to check out Picasa. I’m afraid I’m slacking this year on getting Dad a good present… I may have to run out and get something today. I know that’s terrible, but I was out of town and Father’s Day snuck up on me.

You guys remind me of my husband and I before we had kids. We had a bear and a dog (real one, not stuffed!) Every mothers or fathers day there would be gifts and cards from the dog and bear, in their childish handwriting of course! We loved being a family even before we were officially recognised as one! By the way, Matt looks so young in yesterdays wedding photos! Something about boys taking years off when they’re cleaned up and dressed up? And yes, they’re boys unless they’re old enough to be my father!
