I’m not celebrating anything in particular – but these pancakes were just begging to have a reason to don their sprinkles.
Kodiak cakes mixed with 1/4 cup pumpkin and served with hot banana, chia charger, coconut and sprinkles.
Happy Sprinkle Day to you.
Anyone celebrating anything fun today? OMG just realized today is my friend Kirsten’s birthday!!!!

Just another wonderfully sunny day! Halfway to Christmas!
Looks like the perfect Tuesday morning breakfast!
I think every day deserves to be celebrated with pancakes! These look great, and happy birthday to your friend!
YAY for sprinkles. They make any day worth celebrating
The coconut and sprinkles make your breakfast look so festive and delicious!
I love it, make a normal day feel special!
Have a great day..with a brekkie like that, I can’t imagine you not
Simply divine. What kind of sprinkles do you use? I have bought some natural ones before, but they aren’t like these-the flat and crunchy kind. Have a wonderful Tuesday, Kath!

Thank you so much for responding so quickly!
I have to say, I think when it comes to thinks like sprinkles and food coloring as long as you don’t have any particular allergies, the artificial kinds often work better. I bought natural food coloring once and not only was it incredibly expensive, but the colors were so muddy and unpleasant I wished I hadn’t used it at all. I completely understand for people who have allergies or can’t tolerate certain dyes but for me it’s been all about things in moderation.
I love the simple dishtowel backdrop. It looks so homey, as do the pancakes!
I am celebrating today! It is my 8th wedding anniversary!
Happy anniversary!!!!!
Happy anniversary!!
Anyday is a great day for pumpkin
It does not have to be Thanksgiving to eat pumpkin
Actually, I made your recipe for overnight pumpkin oats last night–this was the first time I have ever made overnight oats. I am just getting ready to bowl the oats as I speak.

Doesn’t have to be October either!
I second the notion that anyday is a good day for pumpkin. I eat it year round.
Those look likea fun way to start your day.
Gorgeous pictures this morning.
What a great reminder that any day can be a day to be celebrated…today I will celebrate the fact that I will have finally posted all my Christmas cards!
Love. It. I think the best days for sprinkles are the days usually reserved for serious business food. Life is a little prettier, more magical with sprinkles
Hahah I love any excuse to put sprinkles on something! Looks great
Those look so festive! And if it’s as freezing in Cville as it is in DC, I think any and all morning cheer is very necessary!
I was feeling a bit down today and just looking at your pics of your celebration pancakes (I LOVE sprinkles on anything!), made my spirits lift
sprinkles make everything more fun! have a great thursday
What a fun way to start the day! I wish I had time to make pancakes everyday!
No celebration here, just relaxing and spending time with my kitty since I’m going away for a few weeks this weekend.
I’m celebrating today-It’s my little sister Kristine’s 18th birthday today! Happy Birthday to Kristine and Kirsten! (It’s funny that their names are so similar and they have the same birthday!)
I’m foreverjealous of your breakfasts. Maybe I need to institute a breakfast dinner more often so I have time to make cool stuff like pancakes.
What a festive breakfast! So cute
I love it. It’s so festive!
Why do sprinkles make everything better?
I need to try some Kodiak cakes!!
I’m celebrating a semester being over and being home with family! Have a great tuesday!
Love those green Pier 1 plates you are using

We’re celebrating sending out a 200 gift box order today!!!!! The machine is well-oiled
Whoa!!
Celebrating 300 peanut butter balls completed for friends and family. Now on to white chocolate covered prezels!
Can I ask a weird question? Do chia seeds get digested? I have IBS and have trouble with poppy seeds…is it similiar?
As far as I know they do. They aren’t like flax – don’t have to be ground first
Perfect way to celebrate a Tuesday
We are having the carpets steamed this morning. I call that a celebration
Haha! Thanks koops! Looks like a delicious breakfast. I’m in Oregon right now celebrating with Mariah
Hope all is well with the bakery and house!
Hey!!! Glad you’re celebrating!
I wish I had time during the week to make a pancake breakfast, these look delicious!
I love sprinkles! Today I am celebrating the fact that my new puppy hasn’t had any accidents yet! …it’s the small things.
I love the sprinkles on your pancakes! I think it makes them that much more special!
Happy Birthday to your friend! Today I am celebrating that I have dinner cooking away in the crockpot. Cannot wait to see how yummy it is when I get home!
ah those pancakes look so yummy! have a great day, Kath!
Cheers to celebrating Tuesday (and Kirsten’s birthday)!
I saw this article and thought it might be worthwhile to share with your readers:
http://www.qsrmagazine.com/outside-insights/10-things-look-franchise
I know it seems you get a lot of questions about Great Harvest from people who sound like they are interested in opening a franchise and it seemed to have a lot of thoughtful questions and points I thought they might find interesting.
I should also say I am no way affiliated with the magazine. I just happen to get the e-mails since I work in the food industry and thought it could be a good resource for people who are interested.
Thanks for sharing that Kelly!
I. love. sprinkles. #truelife
Looks like a great “just because” breakfast to me. It’s official… I WILL make pancakes tomorrow morning for my breakfast!
I haven’t had pancakes in FOREVER!! Those look delicious and I agree with Laura – it’s definitely time to get on the breakfast for dinner bandwagon!
I think that’s my favorite photo – it looks like Christmas! Pumpkin really gives a nice color to pancakes too.
Lovely, festive breakfast!
hehe, I guess I channeled the inner Kath b/c I had pancakes today too! I just get easily excited, my apologies
ahhh I always wondered!! How does one make those fancy shmancy pretty letters and fonts?
Do you mean writing on photos? I do that in Photoshop, but you can also use Picnk
oh!! sorry, haha. Let me clarify. I mean the really lively and cute fonts you use like the “HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRST!!!” bit. I’ve tried to change fonts on my blog posts but I’m not knowledgeable enough. Thanks!
Oh, I just change it in Windows Live Writer!
Beautiful Breakfast!!! Love the festive Sprinkles!
yum!! i always see you using small spoons to eat your oatmeal…they are so cute! where are they from?
thanks
These are Crate + Barrel – a lot of them are. I just pick them up when I find ‘em!
It’s my birthday today, too! Except I live in New Zealand, so if my brain is working (its early here) it is still the 13th where you are, whereas it is the 14th here!
Unfortunatly everyone is working today so I have to spend my birthday alone
Awww happy Bday!!
How funny, I pretty much had the exact same breakfast as you except without the coconut. I used Chia Charger as well
. I made the mistake of putting too much pumpkin though, because it was a little gummy, but delicious nonetheless.
I say you never need an excuse to have sprinkles.
It is one year ago today that my wonderful partner told me that he loved me!!! He called it our love day anniversary.
I want to try the Kodiak Cake mixes…but for tomorrow I’ll try a recipe for chocolate protein pancakes I found.
I adored the sprinkles! SO feastive!! And I hope your friend has a lovely bday:)
Pumpkin pancakes WITH COCONUT? Oh my…
