Key Lime Pie Sugarbear ice cream for lunch on the last day of school!
Lately: June Fun!
We had SUCH a great time on our Universal trip that I felt sad for a few days after! I missed the boys more than usual when they went to their dad’s after so much time together. (Actually Mazen has been at the beach with a friend and having the best time!)
The Magic Continues…

Pool Time
Our pool opened and the weather has been swim-friendly! It’s such a wonderful place for kids in the summer. And this is the first year that Birch is going into the season as a strong swimmer!

Fridays After Five
Mazen has joined the teen scene at Fridays After Five, our summer concert series downtown. I like colliding with him hanging with his friends to see what teen life is like in 2026 (at least the visible parts!) Look how cool:

Scooter Walks
The scooter scene is strong too. We go for a “scooter walk” almost every night. The boys request it, and I love walking at dusk. Win win!

That view:

Adult Scene
When I haven’t been with the boys, I have been spending WAY too much money going out to dinner! Gotta reel that back in.
Happy Hour at Aster

ACAC Post-Workout Dinner at Bang!

My two must-haves at Bang:
Coconut rice and cilantro goat cheese dumplings

John Mullany Night!
My favorite comedian, John Mullaney, came to Richmond, and he was a must-see!!!! Definitely check out his shows on Netflix. “New In Town” is my favorite. He’s a comedic genius, and he was fabulous in real life!

Dinner at Chez Foushee
Afterwards we went to dinner at Chez Foushee, known for its amazing French food.

Working Wine Date
Ivy convinced me to take my laptop to Michael Shaps for the afternoon. This was the best and worst choice of the week haha. But we felt like we were in the French countryside!

Not a bad place to write a blog post
We started planning a real trip to Paris!

Can’t have wine without cheese

Kath Eats Real Food
And to balance all those meals out, here are my healthy home highlights!
Egg sandwich + watermelon

Oatmeal Day!

Cheerios + Strawberries

Lunches
I’ve been on a huge cottage-cheese-in-salads kick! Plus hummus. Usually blue cheese and pecans. And always with orange marmalade salad dressing! In fact I love that dressing so much I accidentally bought two jars of orange marmalade!

Dinners

Salmon Burgers on English Muffins
I tried to eat up as much of my freezer before moving! I made a spread with Greek yogurt and fresh dill that was perfect for the burgers.

Loaded Potatoes
Mazen requested loaded baked potatoes with bacon, so we had them for dinner with asparagus. The yogurt and fresh dill addition really amped them up!

Spaghetti and Meat Sauce
Another kid-friendly favorite. N/A Aperol Spritz in the back!

Pork + Rice Bowls
Another freezer pick: True Nature Hawaiian pork and coconut rice with leftover roasted broccoli. (Use my link and code KATHEATS35 for $40 off True Nature!)
