Here are some of the smaller things I bought and love for my new place.

Alternative Title:
All The Small Things
What a good song! As I mentioned in this post, I took a fair amount of stuff from my other house to the townhouse: Caraway baking sheets (we had two), a little cookware, a few knives, the backup silverware, my favorite appliances. But there were definitely gaps to fill. No matter your situation, whenever you move, there are things to buy. Like bathroom trashcans! Here are some of the things that I bought (while being very mindful of price) to set up shop in my new space.
Sink Things
A hands-free soap dispenser is a must-have for me, and I almost bought another Simple Human. But I decided to give this brand a try and I like it a lot! It’s 95% as good. My only complaint is that it dispenses a pretty decent size amount of soap which can be wasteful for a small thing. Here is the black sponge holder (also sponge off the counter is a must for me!) And this colander is so fun for over the sink. Use it to wash fruit or drain pasta or as a simple dish drainer. It expands to fit different widths.

Glass Food Storage Containers
I LOVE these because there are just two sizes so they are easy to sort and store. Imagine my delight when the lids fit perfect in these bins I already had.

Unbreakable Glasses
These are THE ultimate kid glasses (I use them too). They look super nice, but they are acrylic and unbreakable.

Tea Kettle + Salt + Pepper Grinders
I make Sleepytime tea most nights and love an electric kettle. This one was on sale over Black Friday and looks sleek. And I love the bamboo S+P grinders I found!

Wonder Oven
I’ve already mentioned the Wonder Oven, but what a cute appliance! It’s an air fryer / oven / toaster all in one. Comes in a few cute colors! Also shout out to my paper towel holder. I did the adhesive application that was so easy and no signs of it falling off (I’ll use screws if it does). I am a firm believer of paper towels being up off the counters!

Hatch Restore 3
I have always wanted a sunrise alarm clock and finally got a Hatch! I am totally loving the sunrise and sunset features now that I have to get up a bit earlier to drive the boys to school. I also love how pretty it looks when it’s not on light mode. And the minimal clock is great. If you have to get up in the dark, I think this is a must have!
And here’s the link for my new lamps – love them. Two for $39 is such a great price.

Mini Trashcans + Bidet
I got basic white bins for 2 of the bathrooms, but for the half bath off the living space, I leveled up to a cute white mini pedal can. I have one in my bathroom, too! LOVE how cute it is, and I also like that the lid hides what’s inside. I also got a Luxe Bidet for my bathroom. If you don’t use one, you absolutely should. It’s life changing!

Waffle Bath Mats
LOVE these! I had actually been looking at bath mats for a while because my previous ones needed to be replaced. The waffle is so sleek, and it has a grippy bottom. I got a second one for my bathroom so I can step out of the shower and then drip onto one at the counter. And the boys have a smaller one that fits in their bathroom, too.

I also have these night lights in the bathrooms that are motion sensors, so when you get up in the middle of the night they turn on when you walk in the room. A must have!
Linen-Like Door Mat
We needed something to take off the dirt upon entry and I went with this small linen mat. It’s ultra thin, nonslip, and only $15. Wipes clean!

Coat Rack
While we have our bigger lockers for backpacks and purses, I really wanted a coat rack for our coats and guest things. This one is easy to assemble and inexpensive. Loving that it has all heights so Birch has lower branches for his jacket.

Shoe Rack
My previous closet had shelves for shoes, but I wasn’t sure what to do with them here. Then I bought this rack from a neighbor who is moving (Here is a similar one). Instead of putting this in my closet, I had the idea to put it in the hall closet, which is spacious. I take my shoes off downstairs anyways, so it works!

Here’s the rest of the giant closet! I feel like I could use some better organization in here in the future.

And while we’re on the topic of closets, here’s the linen closet! I’m finally getting to live my minimalist life haha. The white bins have all my backup skincare and beauty items!

Pillow Covers
I already had 22″ pillows for the couch, but the covers were really old. I found these textured white ones that look so great on the gray couch.

The Softest Duvet
I am obsessed with the duvet I got for Birch’s room! It’s washed cotton (“linen like”), SO soft and has a zip close (zip close is a requirement for me now that I’ve discovered it. Boo buttons!) It comes in lots of different colors/patterns. And for $75 you also get two shams. (I do wish you had the option of Euro shams!) I’m eventually going to get myself one, too. I love the solid-looking wavy stripes design.
