Yerba Mate Latte Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brewed Yerba Mate tea
  • 1/4 cup milk of your choice
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp slivered almonds
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

  • Boil water for tea and steep for 3-4 minutes. Strain and measure out 3/4 a cup. Drink the rest!
  • Toast almonds and coconut in a toaster oven or dry skillet until golden brown. Don't take your eyes off or they will burn!
  • In a medium pot, add oats, tea, milk, salt, and cinnamon. 
  • Bring heat to medium and stir until thick and bubbly and liquid is absorbed, about 5-7 minutes. 
  • Portion into a bowl and top with almonds and coconut.
  • Drizzle honey on top and enjoy!
