Chai Spiced Pear Oatmeal

  • 1 chai spiced tea bag steeped in half a cup of hot water
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 bosc pear chopped
  • 1/2 cup Quaker Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter


  • Prepare tea by steeping chia teabag in half a cup of hot water per your tea’s instructions.
  • Melt butter in a medium stock pot over medium heat.
  • Add pear and sauté until brown, about five minutes.
  • Add oats, tea, milk, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine and continue stirring until oats are thick and liquid is absorbed.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Portion oatmeal into bowl and top with almond butter.
