Oh Baby Whole Wheat Muffins

These baby-friendly muffins use a pouch of baby food to add nutrients and flavor. They also have minimal sugar and plenty of good-for-you ingredients like whole wheat flour, oats, applesauce, cinnamon, egg, and whole milk.

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 baby food pouch 1/2 cup in the pouch
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter melted


  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a muffin tin. Add wet ingredients in to bowl. Gently fold in remaining dry ingredients. Bake for 18 minutes and use a tooth pick to stick in center and evaluate doneness!
