Will Work For Coffee

November 29, 2010

What a lovely way to get in some exercise! Lately I have just been in love with walking!! So much more pleasant than sweating on some machine, although at times I love that too.

I forget how close we really are from downtown. 2.1 miles flew by.

We decided to split a french press at the coffeeshop while we worked on plans for the bakery, specifically our training trip to Montana – in JANUARY. ‘S gonna be a cold one!

We downed the two tiny cups SO FAST. The French press was mighty delicious, so was the Costa Rican coffee. I do miss our FP at times, but I’m enjoying our convenient drip so much more.

A while later, we walked back home for a warm lunch.

And a cheesy roll stuffed with the last of the cranberry sauce! YUM!!!

I will miss them both so much tomorrow.

The final hours for free shipping at OpenSky and the CORE bag are upon us.

What’s the best deal you’ve found online today? I don’t feel that I’ve taken enough advantage of the sales!!

I haven’t been doing online shopping because the internet at my office is SO slow because of Cyber Monday! I did however get a 3 quart crockpot for 8.99 on Friday!!! That was quite an exciting find.

I agree…I’m a true walker…not a gym fan at all! I love walking outside..it’s the perfect exercise and it’s a breathe of fresh air, hehe…
Have a great afternoon, Kath!

I noticed that Lightroom was on sale 50% off on amazon! Not sure if I’m ready to make the leap to full-blown photo editing yet, though …

How have you like elements?

Reply

4 Kath November 29, 2010 at 3:03 pm

I love Elements and it definitely suites all my needs :)

Reply

5 Pat Kilmain November 29, 2010 at 3:22 pm

I love elements as well. I worked with the full-blown photoshop for a class, but I find that the features I used the most are all available in elements.

6 lindsay November 29, 2010 at 4:15 pm

Elements is also 50% off on Adobe’s website!

I am trying to stay away from Ann Taylor Loft’s 40% off everything sale today :/

The coconut butter and Garlic Gold from OpenSky was a great deal, with the free shipping!

I also got two sweaters and a scarf from American Eagle online for $60 with free shipping. That’s not a bad deal for sweaters.

Oooh everything looks delicious! I haven’t been online shopping much because I’m being a good girl at work today (hehe!) but haven’t really come across anything I NEED yet.. this could change…. ;)

I get too nervous shopping online! The soup looks so good! I am planning vegetable soup tonight and am already dreaming about how good it will feel…it is so cold out today!

That soup looks amazing. I’m sure it tastes better today than before! I bought my Dad a Garmin for $100 on Amazon.com. He will be very excited!

I really haven’t looked for any deals today! I’m just not that much of a shopper,I guess :)

I guess there are plenty of sidewalks on the way from your house to downtown?

sidewalks or low traffic roads

That’s such a beautiful city! I wish I lived in a more walker/biker/runner friendly city. I pretty much have to stick to greenways or neighborhoods.

I am thinking about buying the CORE bag! Is it so big that it will look ridiculous if I don’t fully pack it? I’m sort of concerned about the size. Sell it to me! Haha.

Reply

20 Kath November 29, 2010 at 3:59 pm

It’s not too big!! There are more photos of it here: http://www.katheats.com/water-in-my-ears/

and here: http://www.katheats.com/swimmer-sandwich/

It’s really a very chic bag (I like the lining the most!) and has lots of pockets.

I think it’s a bit small for weekend travel, but for the gym, it’s perfect.

lately the walking bug has bit me, too! Maybe it’s that “nip” to the air…or just getting some fresh air in the lungs on a winter day…dunno, but it works good and feels great!

Don’t know if anyone uses Bliss skincare, but their stuff is awesome! They are giving away a free full sized daily moisturizer (it has SPF!), with any purchase. No $ limit, no code needed. If you buy 2 full sized items worth over $35, you can get 30% off. That code is GIFTS30. It’s the only black friday/cyber monday deal I’ve utilized. :D

Plus it’s motivation to keep the bod in shape! What could be better!? (Cheaper lingerie, it could be argued.)
