This small town girl needs to move to a city

Look who was in the yard this morning – scared me to death!

I decided oats were on the menu :)

So sad to see this go. Naturally Nutty sent it to me ages ago and you can see how worn the jar is 😉 I WILL be buying this flavor myself. And the Vanilla Almond Butter. It’s one of the best ever!

Today’s mixture was:

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • ~2 tbsp oat bran
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • Tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 1/2 banana
  • Splash vanilla

And this:

My todo list was clear yesterday but it has filled up fast :( I’m going to spend the morning working, workout and hopefully can take the afternoon off. Matt’s brother Andrew is coming to town for a few days and I think we’re doing dinner tonight and he’s staying with us. Should be fun!

Ahh! That big jar o’ oatmeal and nut butter looks amazing. What a great way to start a Friday! At least deer are less dangerous than bees and less gross than bugs :-)

I tried nut butter jar oatmeal today with my almost-empty jar of almond butter. It was delish and a great way to enjoy every last bit of yummy almond butter goodness!

Haha! I forget that not everyone in the world has grown up in the country where deer in the yard are a normal occurance! We have so many deer around our place….even a couple of fawns that will play out in the open during the day!

ohhh sorry bout the technical issues…those are by far the WORST! however, dinner and breakfast both look amazing, so i hope that makes up for it.

in WI, deer are all around. once we had a black bear in our backyard – eeeeeekkk!

What a pretty deer! Living in the woods myself, I definitely know what it’s like to have a lot of wildlife in my own backyard. It’s fun, but I totally agree that it can really scare/surprise you sometimes!

Delicious breakfast! Those nut butters sound so amazing! Good luck on your busy day. :)

That chocolate vanilla almond butter looks amazing! I need to buy some.

There were deer all over the place where I used to live! I had to drive extra slow at night with my brights on to avoid hitting one

I have to try me some naturally nutty chocolate vanilla almond. It sounds too good to be true!

Oh my gosh. Oats in a jar (one of my favorite things) with vanilla almond butter (my two favorite flavors)? I think I just died. :)

Yay I have that mug too – I collect them from everywhere I go :) I was watching MTV Teen Cribs a couple days ago (I know…) and there was this girl that had a PET deer LIVING in her house?!?!?! She had found it when it was a baby, bottle fed it, and it’s been living in with her and her family ever since. Gross…

You are the wildlife queen this week!

My grandma has deer in her backyard all the time and I just LOVE seeing them. Such a neat thing.

Love the oats in a jar! That flavor sounds delicious, along with the Vanilla AB. And the deer is so cute, too. Have a lovely day :)

Ooo that flavour sounds really great! YUM.

I love how summer-campy your mason jar breakfast looks! …and watch your pretty flowers, the deer at my house up North eat EVERYTHING.
