Amazingly, my sister’s flights were both on time!
I was able to get my Organic lab done this morning, so that’s a nice Sunday to-do checked off the ‘ole list. I made myself a cup of tea to take with me and help tide me to lunch before I left for the airport. I also had a small handful of roasted garbanzo beans.
I picked Larbs (a.k.a. Laura) up from the airport at 12:30 and we weighed our lunch options. We didn’t want anything too fancy, so we narrowed the choices to cafe-style places: Panera, EarthFare, Dean + Deluca. We decided EarthFare would be the best food options and we both wanted soup on this dreary day and they have the best soups! Plus Larbs has never been to EF so I wanted to host her. So I did back-to-back EF lunches (but they were at completely different locations with different food options!)
We both got cups of the Sweet Potato Soup, which had a short ingredient list of sweet potato and spices. It was really creamy for not having cream!
I also got a salad with veggies, beans and a little bit of fruit – plus 2 pita chips.
Plus I had 1/3 of Larbs’ pizza! There was pesto under the cheese and it was amazing pizza. Note to self!!
Lastly, I had a little burger sample. Wow, this was an amazing piece of hamburger. Note to self again! EarthFare isn’t just good with the raw veggies
Once home we watched some House Hunters. Larbs is actually not feeling that well so she’s catching up on sleep and I’m either going to study or take a nap myself – we’ve got a rainy night on the (Up)town this evening.
Have wonderful Fridays you guys!

That is great news your sister’s flights were on time. With the way the airline industry has turned these days, smooth traveling is far and few between! Enjoy your weekend with the family.
Yay for flights being on time!
How long did you marinate your tofu last night?
Enjoy your weekend
That soup looks so good – I love it when things taste creamy and decadent but they’re still healthy!

Looove the House Hunters program – so fun to watch for some reason, haha
Enjoy your time with your sister immensely!! Hope she feels better!!
Darn, I wish we had EarthFare around here in Southeast Ohio. That sweet potato soup looks incredible.
I wanted to let you know that you got a mention in Ohio University’s school paper: http://www.thepost.ohiou.edu/Articles/Culture/2008/09/25/25540/
Question – if i were to make sweet potato fries and spray them with pam and let them cook in the oven would they come out ok?
I had a pizza with pesto instead of marinara once and it was to die for! Sooo much better than regular old marinara!
Lisa: you go to OU? Miami grad here!
DaisyMay~

DaisyMay ,
Yup! I still haven’t mastered SP fries yet, but the rounds I made last Thursday (the 18th) were awesome.

Everything looks yummy!!
I wish I had an EarthFare near me so I could dine on some yummy food.
Have fun with your sister.
Your post made me miss my sister! I should call her and tell her to visit soon.
Stop making us all jealous with Earth Fare! Now I want to fly down there just to try that soup (and possibly steal one of their fabulous salad bowls).
Have fun with your sister; hopefully she’ll feel better tomorrow.
