And welcome Great Harvest Warrenton Blackberry Peach Cobbler Swirl Bread!
I’ve had this baby in my freeze since wintertime and just thawed it out to try. Since we now have our own store I figured it was now or never to eat it up!
Heaven, I tell ya!
I was going to do French toast with this, but it was so doughy and soft that I didn’t want to mess up a good thing. Instead I piled it high with yogurt and fruit!
Cait’s Plate always mixes chia seeds with yogurt and makes beautiful French toast and pancake stacks, so that’s what I was going for. I hate it when yogurt “leaks” onto bread so I think the chia seeds helped to thicken and dry it out a bit. I also don’t like cold + hot mixed so that’s another reason I didn’t toast the bread. This turned out quite amazing!!
Today and tomorrow are going to be super busy to prep myself and the bakery for this trip. But one of the tasks on my to-do list is to get my nails done, so I’m not complaining!
Have a Sunny Monday

Bread looks so unique (and delicious, as always). Have a great Monday!!
I just got my nails done for an upcoming work trip and chipped my pedicure not even 30 minutes later, ugh!
Blackberry peach cobbler swirl bread. Oh my!!!
I love any and all swirl breads, and that one is no exception! Looks great.
You are the breakfast queen. One day you will find me on your doorstep wanting one of your amazing concoctions! Have a great day, Kath!
What a delicious looking bread! I love fruity breads.
Happy August!!
Wow! What a beautiful monday, summer breakfast!
Can’t believe it’s August already!
That bread looks divine!

Looks so yummy!
I received my open sky package first thing this morning right in time for breakfast.
C’ville Crunch is amazing!!!!
I also did not want to take away from the taste of the Cville crunch, so yogurt, chia seeds and banana were the perfect compliment!
Yummmmm!
Glad you like it!!
Haha aw yay!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the fruit + yogurt over bread combo!
I only wish I had THAT bread to do my combos with – Heaven is RIGHT.
Enjoy getting your nails done – I have that on my “to-do” list this week as well!
I love your August linen!
That bread looks incredible!
What a beautiful pop of color to start your day with! Beauty is part of a complete breakfast, too
That’s a beautiful breakfast, so full of color! That bread looks amazing too, what a great idea for a flavor.
That looks great- and i’m the same: hot with hot, cold with cold!
That new bread looks AMAZING!
Looks great! I love your August napkins! Will there be month napkins on the first of every month?
Yep!
That bread looks amazing! Have a great day
Are you guys going to make this heavenly bread in your store?!?! I’d give it a try if I were you….or maybe not, we have waistlines to think about here….. HA! Happy Monday!!!
I hope so!
Wow the peaches in that bread look incredible! I’ve never thought to include stone fruit in bread before! Deeelish and creative as always
I love hot + cold — I definitely would have toasted up that piece of bread — it looks incredible with those fruit swirls!
Looks like a fabulous way to kick off the month of August
oh my goodness that bread looks AMAZING!!
I love yours and Cait’s plating qualities. Y’all seem to always make stack-able foods look so deliciously good and drool-worthy!
That bread looks delicious. Doughy bread is the best kind!
PS- Aren’t Cait’s meals delicious looking? Her meals, breakfasts especially, never fail to make me droooooool.
Wooooooow, that bread looks beyond delicious. Good call with the yogurt and fruit topping. Cait’s chia tip seems like it did the trick and the yogurt looks really really thick.
Enjoy the manicure!
What a wonderful way to start the day.
Oh wow, that bread looks freaking incredible! Great Harvest needs to come to Canada!
pick a pretty color today!
The bread is too beautiful to be covered. I would keep it simple with almond butter and jam
But your display is prettier!
That sounds AMAZING!!!
That swirl bread looks great– I have a recipe for cinnamon swirl bread I’ve been dying to make!
Wow, that bread looks fabulous!!
I’m not big on hot & cold combinations either. Your breakfast looks perfect. As does the summery bread.
That bread sounds amazing!!
Stopped by the bakery for the first time this morning! After seeing such yummy pictures for so long I just had to try some Great Harvest myself. =) Had the carrot-walnut-raisin muffin at the recommendation of one of your staff (who was super friendly btw) and the muffin…oOOOOh yum! Can’t wait to stop by more often this upcoming year–I’m a UVA student!
Glad you liked it!! And sorry I missed you!
Happy August! That bread looks incredible. I love soft and doughy (but I’d probably put a warm crunch around the edges). I never would have thought to use straight bread under a breakfast pile.
And glad to see something pampering made it onto the official to-do list.
OMP! My GH needs that bread. ASAP! (I threw that last acronym in there to be extra annoying. FYI.)
That bread looks amazing! So ooey gooey! Yum!
I love Cait’s stacks!!! You did a great job plating today too! That bread sounds soooo gooood!!!!
Oh my god. TAKEEEE ME TO YOUR BAKERY
Did you make that or buy it (the peach cobbler bread)? It looks absolutely sumptious and is a combination of all my favourite breakfast bread elements!
Bought it at GH Warrenton
Um. Now I’m drooling. How embarrassing.
I’ve been anxiously awaiting my Open Sky package and finally got it on Friday – Needless to say I had granola for breakfast on Saturday and Pancakes Sunday. My husband and I loved everything! It was just as good as I imagined
My good friend and I ADORE your writing, recipes and humor, and our husbands enjoy the benefits of great, healthy meals (they routinely ask, “is this a ‘blog lady’ recipe?’
. Thanks so much for all you do!
Thanks!!!!
That bread looks amazing – were those chunks of peach baked into the bread? If they were, OMG that looks mouthwatering!
just yesterday my fiance was saying how much he loves peach cobbler and that he’s determined to make it someday soon!
Maybe if I find this bread he’ll be really happy
It seems funny, but I too can’t decide whether to leave the doughy bread alone or make french toast with it sometimes.
Ooo that looks delicious! Great breakfast choice!
Adorable ladybug napkin! That bread looks fantastic. It reminds me of the cinnamon nut bread my grandpa used to make when we visited them. It would always magically be baked and ready to be devoured!
Yay August! My birthday month! I will be turning (drumroll please)… 26!!
I can’t wait for 8/8!
That loaf looks like an amazing combination of bread and Savannah bar! I do like a hot/cold combo tho, and probably would have toasted it. Those fruits look delicious, I’m silly and can never remember the color difference b/t cantaloupe and honeydew and which one I like best! Hehe
Happy B-day! Which day is it!?
August 8th! A week from today!
Going to wait until Friday the 12th to celebrate though… probably going to Fridays After Five, you should come if you don’t already have plans!
Better come in for a birthday sweet that day!
I will!
Oh my goodness I want that bread! It looks amazing.
Do you not like things served ala mode then? Just curious. It’s one of my favorite things…haha
Oh right, obviously that’s a match made in heaven!!
Yogurt is such a wonderful topping, and I like your trick for absorbing a bit of the extra liquid. Gorgeous photos.
whoa that bread..yum
I’m a huge fan of hot + cold…which I why I love Greek yogurt on top of everything carby and hot.
Blackberry Peach Cobbler Bread?? Yum!
Oh I can almost taste that bread!
That looks awesome! I’m not a big yogurt fan but if I was, I would definitely be recreating that…
Have a great nail appointment!
Ohmygosh, there’s more filling than bread! That’s my kinda toast
That bread looks delicious! And thanks for the tip about using chia seeds to soak up the liquid. I’ve never tried yogurt on top of bread/pancakes before because I’m scared of making them soggy!
Cobbler meets bread.
Bread meets cobbler.
Love meets…more love.
yum! how much would it cost to get a couple loafs of that bread mailed to MI?
