After the wedding, Mazen woke up wide awake when we returned around midnight and then we had a bit of a rough night of on-and-off wakeups, so Matt and I were both zombies in the morning.
We had a quick breakfast at a café in Safeway before saying goodbye to our friends and hitting the road back to Cville
Happy Father’s Day Dada!
Mazen has a tendency to give his parents presents for him for holidays. This time he gave himself a fedora so he could be like his dad : )
Karen came over and we made a great brunch to celebrate – eggs Florentine scrambled with spinach and goat cheese plus cheddar and sweet potato biscuits (from Whole Foods) and maple bacon
M enjoyed avocado until he got some on his hat and it had to be taken away!
We all enjoyed a loooooonog afternoon nap followed by a long walk around town.
And then a delicious dinner of roasted chicken, sautéed garden greens and roasted potatoes in ketchup.
M lights up in smiles whenever Matt walks in the room. And he says “Da Da Da Da Da” all day long. The best dad any little boy could ask for!
