Liz,
The whole loaf was about 1325 kcal, divided by 700 grams or about 23 kcal per oz.

did you calculate nutritionals for the whole loaf? or by the slice. if you know, how many calories are in the entire loaf? thanks! i can't wait to make this.

YUM!

I made this tonight, and oh my god, delicious! Just sweet enough... the texture was great! I didn't have any vanilla extract, but have been putting maple extract in my oatmeal lately as a replacement with great results, so I decided to do the same with my pumpkin bread! SO good!

Liz,
I know everyone has pretty much already said this, but I have been with my boyfriend for 2 and a half years, and living with him for a year, and I highly recommend it. I couldn't imagine waiting until after marriage to learn everything we have learned about each other while living together. He and I now feel that we truly know each other and now are much more confident that our marriage will be successful. But of course, this is not the case for everyone. When it comes down to it, you have to do what makes you feel most comfortable.

I am 22 and have been dating my boyfriend for the last 5 1/2 years. We are getting married in Aug '09 and Although I would LOVE to live with him, my parents dont want us to. They love him but dont agree that we should live together before marriage and since they still pay my rent until i graduate in May, I have to listen and understand bc I am a full time student and don't make enough money babysitting and waitressing to fully support myself. he does stay over about 3-4 nights a week and we have learned everything about each other through the years (even annoying habits and snoring! haha) but I have realized he is absolutely the one for me and I can't wait until we get married and move in together! I have had friends who have moved in with their bf's and it destroyed their relationships BUT they werent 100 percent committed before so it was a bad decision!! I think everyone has to base their decision on their own wants and needs !!

I really want to try your pumpkin bread recipe too! It looks really good and like you, I LOVE doughy breads. Baking from scratch sometimes scares me, especially things I've never tried.

Carrie ,
Thanks for reading! GO WILDCATS!! This is all I have to say about the Badgers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMeLFEq58QU

Nadia ,
I do my recipes by weight, but I think it would make about 8-10 servings?

Caryee ,
You can absolutely leave out the allspice and I think soy milk or even skim milk would work just fine.

Rachel ,
I'm not 100% confident in what eggs do to recipes, but my understanding is that egg whites create bubbles to create more of a spongey consistency - like sponge cake? And their proteins coagulate in high temps making the bread firmer (and therefore less doughy). So leaving the egg out made a denser, doughier cake. At least that's my best guess!

Liz,
I think you have to do what makes the most sense for your own situation. The husband and I moved in together right after graduation because it made no sense to pay two rents for two apartments. I'm so glad we did - we had a blast! I totally agree with the others who mentioned that the statistics are probably not accurate given the types of people are are more likely to move in/live apart. I wouldn't worry about statistics - I think if you love someone you'll have a happy marriage whether or not you live together. Living together is just more fun because you get to share your life together sooner.

Jill ,
Glad to know there's someone else who "gets" reading and walking!!

JENNA ,
I used regular WW flour for my first bread and it was much more bread like and tough. I'm not sure if it was the change of ingredients or the flour that impacted the new texture, but I doubt you'd make a bad bread with WW flour. It might not be as delicate and doughy though.

I have the same question as Jenna. Since I already have WW flour, I hope I can use that.
