Someone please come wake me up!! Trying to fend off the grump today. Monday + lack of sleep + winter.
But something to be really happy about:
Last night I combined the rest of a TJ’s greek container (maybe 1/3 to 1/2 a cup left total?) with:
- 1/3 cup raw Quaker Old Fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 cup 1% milk
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Pinch salt
- 1/3 cup pumpkin
And this morning:
- Mix My Granola
- Crunchy, crunchy Nuttzo
I’m a little tea cup, short and stout
More Tea Spot samples! I’m really enjoying the variety, and their black tea is excellent. Strong and not bitter.

“wake up san francisco” = ha! haven’t heard that one in a while
good morning!!!!!!! have a fabulous day =D
Those oats would wake me up, too!
Looks like someone has a case of the Monday’s
Give it another month or so and you’ll be wishing it was cold again
That oatmeal alone would start my day off on the right foot! Hope you have an un-grumpy day
Ah, the Monday blues. Common around these parts
I have them, today, too. I was so hoping for a message that there was too much ice on the roads at work to go in. No such luck. Going to make it a good day anyway
I love that TJ’s plain greek yogurt. I have to try overnight oats again!
Great deal at OpenSky!!!
*SLAPS KATH*
WAKE UP!
No matter what time of day or how full I am, everytime I read about your oats, I get that little bit more hungry…maybe it’s lunchtime now
Have a good day!
I hear you on being tired or winter… February seems to just drag on. It will be over soon! Your oats look delicious, i might try something similar tomorrow.
lol…Wake Up San Francisco! Gotta love Aunt Becky
Have a great day– I always feel a lot slower and more tired in the winter months. Luckily spring is right around the corner!
wow what a great way to raise money for such an important cause!
These overnight oats are looking good Kath…. Now wake up and get movin’!
zest
YUM! Delicious looking oats!! Have a great day!
Oats making getting out of bed worth it!
Overnight oats on the menu this week for me! You got me with this one. Too bad I don’t have any chia seeds
Hi Kath,
those overnight oats look so fantastic! Do you eat them cold, or do you heat them up in the microwave before you eat them?
At least you had a brilliant start to your day!! I can relate to the Monday morning grumps. Gotta keep reminding myself that spring is on the way!!
Hope you have a wonderful Monday, Kath!
Yum yum those oats look fantastic!! I have not tried pumpkin in overnight oats yet.. hm…
I was too late for the coupon but I still ordered Naturally Nutty Peanut Butter. I’ve been wanting to for a while now but I keep putting it off… I figured this was a sign haha
I need someone to wake me up as well!! I’m sleeping at my desk
hmmm tea… I am a big tea drinker.. I average at about 8 cups a day…
I drink tea every morning…religiously. I always get it screaming hot (literally, the tea kettle screaming) then I let it steep for five min (in the meantime I am fixing breakfast) then take the tea bag out and by the time I finish eating my tea is the perfect temperature….everytime
Those TeaSpots look really interesting. Strong, black tea is my favorite. I always let mine steep way beyond the recommended time.
Geez it really is everyone’s birthday today! It’s my 25th birthday today too!!
So funny you highlighted that Create Your Day thing because I JUST saw it yesterday and meant to call it out on my blog as well! It was so cute!
That breakfast looks delish
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Loving the overnight oats! Hope the Monday-itis goes away soon.
LOVE eating my oats out of the almost empty TJ’s yogurt container. Not the prettiest bowl, but it leaves no dishes to clean!!
I am an avid tea drinker and that tea looks yum!
Those overnight oats look fabulous! Once I make a dent in my already huge nut butter collection, I have to get my hands on some of this magical Nutzo stuff.
Have a great week!
I’m just catching up on your posts from over the weekend and saw your 1/2 Marathon training plan. I was wondering why – in all of your training runs – you are never planning on running further than 11 miles? I too am training for a 1/2 marathon and had planned to gradually up the milage of my weekly long run so that I run 13 miles at least once or twice prior to the race so that my body is used to the distance. I’m curious to hear your thoughts?
That’s just how Sarah designed my plan. I’m not sure which plan she modeled it on, but that’s how it was. I might end up doing 13 – I’m not sure!
I love your overnight oat combo this am!
Mmm overnight oats! Haven’t had those in a few days (too long! haha)
Hoep your mood improves as your day goes on
“wake up San Francisco” reminds me of Full House! I loved that show.
Love overnight oats
Happy monday everybody… i’m already dragging
im liking that tea spot thing. happy monday!
Happy Monday! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Quick question–did Matt take down his blog? I was thinking of getting some home brew stuff for my husband and was going to see if he had any posts about it, but couldn’t get to his site!
Yes, sadly, it’s all gone
thanks to you I am going to try greek yogurt for the first time! Is it weird I am nervous about it?
February really is a major birthday month!! Which is funny since it’s the shortest month. My bday is in February and I sure have to share the spotlight with a lot of people. hehe.
Those overnight oats look very filling! I wish I loved pumpkin as much as you do, I get tired of it quickly lol.
Jenn
Mmm I love greek yogurt in my oats, but I think it’s even better hot!
Try looking at 20+ inches of snow out your window. Talk about grumpy
Nuttzo is ah-mazing. Not usually a crunch nut butter fan but totally in love with this stuff.
i’m trying to fend off the grump today too. ogling your yummy breakfast is certainly helping!
I think overnight oats in the yogurt container is my favorite way to do it.
Put on some good music that always seems to be one of the best mood lifters.
The oats. Oh my goodness. You need to come make breakfast for me!
Hope you’re already feeling wonderfully bright and bubbly again! Overnight oats must help a little bit with the grumpiness, surely
Delicious eats always do for me! (Says she, eating chocolate while waiting for yet another delayed flight to start boarding hours after it was meant to!)
The tea cup looks really cool
Like it!
Your breakfast looks awesome! I hope it helped the grumpiness!
I thought maybe you were going to say that you were coming out here again. A girl can hope, right?
Haha – I wish!!
is your title in reference to “full house?!?!”
and, if not…um…no, kath, i do not watch “full house,” what do you mean?!
Of course!!! <3 Danny Tanner
those overnight oats look great…any tips for warming them? i’m not the biggest fan of cold oats…
I eat them chilled. If you want warm oats, I wouldn’t put yogurt in it.
wondering how many calories is in the breakfast combo? (overnight oats above)
I don’t know, I don’t count anymore! You could tally up the ingredients in a nutrition calculator
