My engineer father studied the stove photos on the blog and says there is no reason why we can’t use the other burners or the oven. The “fluffy stuff” I was worried about igniting he says is inflammable insulation. So after removing the big chards of glass, we might just be able to do dinner here after all (with the fire extinguisher brought out….just in case). That makes me feel a little better.

Yahoo! I hope your dinner is successful!!
Hooray!
Yah – good luck!
GREAT NEWS!
That’s great!
That’s great to know!
just to check – you do know “flammable and inflammable” mean the same thing, right?
Everyone should keep an engineer on hand for just such occasions.
Glad you got your stove situation fixed. I recently found your blog and have been enjoying reading about all your oatmeal concoctions. (By the way, I’m in Charlotte too)
Just got back from my daughter’s GOTR 5k…very fun and quite chilly. I immediately thought of you when I saw the MANY free samples of mini LARA bars there. I started to tell my frined about your blog…but any time I do tell…people look at me like I am NUTS!!! Oh well. And, I still have not found a Lara bar that I like:(
I was wondering that too! Great news
Be safe ok?
Kath, I attempted to make Homemade Larabars on my blog today and I thought you and the other readers might be interested!
See this post http://ohsheglows.com/2008/12/06/the-larabar-experiment/
I am also posting recipe #2 later today

I hope you get to make dinner!!! Good luck!
Great news
Go for it!!
Good luck
See, things will be okay! Have a good dinner.
Hi Kath– I don’t mean to add fuel to the fire, but I just had to tell you (and anyone reading your blog). I have gone through a LOT of problems with SEARS, and not just their delivery services. I too was told by several CSRs, ‘hey, I alone can’t change the system.’ So just know you are not alone!
Good news! Super random question a while back you posted a video of a song you loved from spinning. I found it in the post, but the video is no longer available. I want to download the song but forgot the name- the singer has blond hair and the video is takes place in a library. Do you remember the name or any of the lyrics and i can look it up? thanks!
That’s great news! Hope it works out!!
Hope it works out!
I wish I could convince my mom to boycott Sears! She actually budgets shopping money there each month — that’s the one place she would agree to buy me clothes. But guess what?! I HATE Sears’s clothing selection! I don’t know why my mom is so in love with that store; she won’t get me clothes on her dollar from anywhere else. Annnyway…glad to know my Sears hatred is well-founded, since their stove services seems to be just plain awful, too.
Well, what do ya know, I’ve got myself an engineer dad too!
Be safe!!! =)
I hope it all works out for you! I have a random question that maybe someone could answer…
I just received a free RCA mp3 player from a survey website where I claimed my awards. I am used to Itunes and my ipod. I think this requires the songs to be in Windows Media Player. Does anyone know how to transfer my itunes songs so Windows Media?
Thanks!!

Kiersten ,
Welcome!! I’m always up for meeting new readers if you want to do lunch sometime.
kwaze ,
OH BOY I hope they have them next weekend!!!!! Congrats to your GOTR girls!
Oh She Glows ,
Your LaraBars look awesome!! I’ve got 2 whole boxes and TONS of bars, so I should probably eat those before I start making more
Lauren ,
Can you tell me what the song was like? I probably didn’t watch the video to know the visuals. Or show me the post where it was? Maybe it’ll ring a bell when I see what I wrote about it.
