Toyland

SO SO SO SO HAPPY!!!

It’s big. It’s fast. And Windows 7 has some really cool features.

Such as….a snipper! Remember the old Print Screen —> Open Paint —> Save as JPG?

Now you can just snip and paste anything on your screen!! And you can write or highlight on it too.

Like my double window post in the works!

image

There’s also a nice updated sticky note feature. Remember in Vista how it was over on the sidebar, small and very limited? Now you can open a note and stick it anywhere. So nice for little jots!

Old computer is up in storage now. Not sure if we should keep it or donate it. There’s that pack rat coming out again! Since we’re moving next year we should probably donate it, but you never know when you need a perfectly good, although slow, computer!

IMG_7667 (640x427)

I spent the afternoon transferring files from one computer to another (Windows 7 had a handy wireless program for that too, although it took forever!), packing for FoodBuzz (tried to be as neat as possible!) and doing some work. I was so busy I didn’t get hungry for a snack. Love days like that!

They’re baaaaaaaaaacccckkkkk

Honest Foods has a redesigned product + package and a box of them arrived in the mail today! Remember the days when I ate granola plank on oatmeal everyday? I’m excited to have a little taste of that again. They are slightly lower in calories than the old ones and sport a brighter package. These are one of my favorite bars of all time (as a reader asked me earlier today)

Dinner tonight was "eat what you want" to use up some leftovers in the fridge. I planned on some pumpkin risotto and couldn’t resist another quesadilla!! I love quesadillas and have been living up having tortillas on hand this week

IMG_7654 (640x427)

I warmed up some risotto (which tastes like mac + cheese!) and spread it out with some sliced DATES and WALNUTS. Perfect combo of cheesy, sweet + nutty!

IMG_7651 (640x427)

Munch.

IMG_7659 (640x427)

I also made a side salad with arugula and romaine tossed in some Annie’s Gingerly dressing and BethT’s spiced nuts!

IMG_7663 (640x427)

Can’t get enough POM + Tonics these days! But it left me chilled to the bone. Sipping hot tea now!

IMG_7655 (640x427)

IMG_7653 (640x427)

Matt dug back into last night’s gelato and I asked him to pack me a bite. Instead of on his spoon, he brought the single bite in a little pinch bowl – topped with some peanut butter. It was tiny + tasty.

I’ve got an early morning and a lot day of traveling tomorrow – but a pot of gold at the end!! Can’t wait to meet so many FoodBuzz bloggers.

I will miss Matt and my computer and my

I love that Matt brought you tiny bowl with one little bite. So cute!

Honest Food bars are the best- especially the blueberry flavor.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Vista had a snipping tool too. Your print screen technique sounds painful!

Enjoy the new computer. Can’t wait to upgrade my own to Windows 7 this weekend.

Yay new computer! It’s your “office” so you need something fab! I’m waiting until (if?) I go back to grad school to upgrade, because for now I can’t really justify it.

Safe travels to Cali!

Honest food bars were my favorite before I had to stop eating gluten. I never did try the planks but do remember how much you used to put them on oats :)

Blah. I hate that Windows keeps “coming out with” all the features that Mac OS’s have had for years. I would love it, most likely, if I hadn’t had a Mac for my whole adult life. I’ve been spoiled. Poop. Get a Mac next time =]
