I felt like I’m in a time warp today:
1) I went to cycle class this morning. I usually cycle on Fridays but I missed last week due to traveling so I decided to go today. Too bad it’s Monday because it sure felt like Friday!
2) A woman in cycle had an 80’s afro and was wearing all spandex. What decade is it!?
3) The high today here in Charlotte is 78*!!!! Is it SUMMER?!??
Toast with jam before the gym. It didn’t hold me over very well today because I was starving in the middle of spinning!
As I mentioned, I did an hour spinning class this morning. Nice and sweaty – my legs are tired! 480 calories burned too! They were giving away muffins, trail mix and coffee at the gym this morning (some Xmas thing). I brought the husband a muffin, which he devoured in 10 seconds but passed myself. I’d rather have oatmeal!
Oatmeal with banana, toasted almonds, and PB. My mother-in-law told me she always toasts almonds in the microwave. A minute on high will lightly brown them. I knew this was possible, but I was still pulling out a second skillet every morning. Today I tried nuking them – worked like a charm! I had to do closer to 2 minutes, but it certainly saved having to clean another dish.

According to Hungry Girl’s email this morning, Gnu Foods has a new flavor for their fiber bars: Peanut Butter! I looked it up and sure enough, peanut butter is now listed on their website. Read about it here: Gnu Foods Website
I like these bars and eat them on occasion. I can’t wait to try it!!
