The KERF B&B breakfast was scheduled for 8AM sharp!! On the menu: Super Topping Whipped Banana Oatmeal, by request
I started on the pot of oats and got out an endless selection of toppings –
The guests were a little overwhelmed, but they made excellent choices and seemed to be very pleased with the delicious factor of their bowls
Mal’s selections were blueberry vanilla granola plank, chia seeds, cranberry pecans and white chocolate coconut peanut butter – he LOVED it!!!!
Tina chose coconut, granola plank, cranberry pecans, Naturally Nutty Chocolate Vanilla Almond Butter and some White Chocolate Coconut PB –
My bowl had some Apple Cinnamon ProBar, chia seeds, cranberry pecans and Naturally Nutty white Chocolate Cherry Almond butter. It seems Naturally Nutty was the hit of the show!
I also made some french press Spring Blend – they liked that too!
Our guests requested some morning exercise, so we’re going to the YMCA in a bit, then we’re off to Charleston for more Southern charm when Matt gets off of work! We’ll be joining a third blogger when we get there!

an oatmeal buffet is always greater than a salad bar in my opinion!
You guys sure do like your oatmeal! Those fixings look TDF!
What a great host — if someone put out an oatmeal buffet for me, I don’t think I’d ever leave.
Enjoy your morning with the CnC duo!
If the bakery idea doesn’t work out, perhaps you can open your own B&B! I’d be first on the list for reservations

I told TIna on her blog that’s so exciting that you guys get to be together this weekend!
Also – you should seriously consider opening a Bed and Breakfast with Matt so that I can come stay and have that delicious breakfast prepared for me!! Haha.
Have fun with Tina!!
Wow!! Now THAT’s a oatmeal toppings bar!!!
Wow – breakfast looks really awesome, I like the different toppings you put out for the oats!
I agree with Cait above. You and Matt should consider opening a B&B or just renting out your guest room on certain weekends with a free breakfast bar. I’m sure the blogosphere would have you with reservations into next year! Have a fun day!

One question (for Kath or anyone else): Before I started reading this blog, I hadn’t heard of putting a nut butter on oatmeal. The first time I saw it was here… I’ve never tried it, but it seems like Kath doesn’t have oatmeal without it! Is this soemthine that she does uniquely, or was I living under a rock all this time ?
MQ, I was putting on nut butter long before I started reading Kath’s blog… I think the popularity of the combination is when it get all ooey gooey in the warm oatmeal. I don’t know if anyone “came up” with it. I just like experimenting and figured if one can make peanut butter oatmeal cookies, why not put PB on top of oatmeal? Hope that answers your question.
Kath, have a wonderful time with C ‘n C! When you open up your B&B, I’ll be one of the first guests to visit!
Ooohhh where are you going in Chucktown? I live down here in the lowcountry, so let me know if you need a restaurant reccomendation. Fives Loaves downtown is my favorite spot!
I know my wife would love this for breakfast! Each of the bowls look so delicious. I agree with everyone about the B&B. I would definitely make a visit!
Hey, I’ve been following your blog for a while now. It’s given me some great ideas for new dishes to try out, but my absolute favorite has been the oatmeal! It’s so easy to make and experiment with and tastes delicious.
Wow— what a breakfast layout! That looks fabulous–I need to work on my oatmeal toppings! Have fun in Charleston!
yum, those bowls look delish!
MQ ,
I have no idea where I got the idea, but I def. didn’t invent it. Couldn’t live without it though!
Kath
your bowls are so pretty!! Love the oatmeal bar! It’s making me want oatmeal!
Kath, you should totally run a B&B! You’d be awesome at it. and, it could be oatmeal themed! hehe
Ladies, I am so inspired by the fantastic toppings that you have all brilliantly suggested, that I am thinking about opening up an oatmeal breakfast kiosk in Manhattan! And to think that when I was a kid I would sneak the bowl of maypo under the table for the dog to eat. Poor old Fifi would never have gotten any of these delicious oatmeal culinary delights.
