I have YET to get in the swing of things. Come on article, write yourself already!!
My lunch, however, is swinging away.
A hummus, zucchini and raisin sandwich (yes, raisins, they were delish!) on Matt’s buns
Plus a peach, with a few almonds, drizzled in coconut butter.
Worth waiting until hunger came at 2PM for.
I am wearing my Mahi Gold dress again today. It’s so very comfortable!
In other news, I’m in a very crabby mood. The sunshine has been gone for 3 days. Our internet is STILL having problems. I am behind on my workload by a lot.
I’m meeting a friend for a yoga class tonight and hopefully that will fix all of my problems!
Also, swinging helps.

I love dried fruit in sandwiches! It’s been too long since I’ve done that, thanks for the reminder
I’m sure yoga will help!

Yoga will definitely help. It’s always hard to get back into the swing of things. No worries. You’ll figure it out soon.
Swinging and yoga always helps! I laughed when I saw “on matt’s buns” It made me laugh, thank you!
What a great sounding sandwich –where do you get your ideas for sandwiches? They are so creative.
Ohh coconut butter on a sliced peach… fantastic idea!!
Your toes look so cute!
Have a great yoga session tonight. A good stretch and some yogic therapy will
unblock almost anything.
Internet issues are very frustrating but on the upside your house looking wonderful and so peaceful and relaxing! I live in a city apartment so I love seeing your beautiful lunches posed outside!! Maybe someday…
Yoga is a brilliant idea to get you out of your funk! Inversions are best for raising seratonin and feeling happy again- try hanging in rag doll for a bit before you go to class. Breathe deep through class, and feel your worries just melt away…
Sigh. I’ve ALWAYS wanted a front porch swing! I love the weathered look of y’all’s!
Hope your day turns around!
Bad moods are meant for Mondays! It’s a wonder anyone gets anything done on a Monday… For a second I thought you melted cheese on your peaches!
Hmmm…I would never have thought of putting raisons with hummus & zucchini! I will have to try. Hopefully having a fun swing to sit on & your afternoon yoga class can compensate for the lack of sunshine! SMILE!!
That is one of the tastiest looking lunches I have ever seen!
Try and take it easy, the first few days after moving are always the most stressful. Just try and appreciate your lovely new house and new town!
Yoga always helps
Especially since you always seem to enjoy it so much!
I love the “Matt’s buns” line. Haha. I’m such a child. WHat’s your take on coconut butter over apples? I’m not sure I really can TASTE it?
I love the “Matt’s buns” line. Haha. I’m such a child. WHat’s your take on coconut butter over the peach? I’m not sure I really can TASTE coconut butter? IS it more for the texture?
I love that porch swing. And your dress.
Hope you feel better after yoga.
Sorry you’re a little down. Weather does that to me, too. Your lunch looked fantastic though, your dress is cute and you have yoga to look forward to! I hope your day gets better!
I hope yoga helps you to break out of a funk. Sometimes, a good second to pause and breathe is all we need.
Aww…sorry to hear about the grumps. I’m afraid I’m right there with you today, but I think it’s just a case of the Mondays. Yoga will solve the problem, I’m sure.
That swing definitely looks like it would brighten my day!! I love that you took your pictures on it. Maybe I should venture away from my plain old table, haha.
The yoga along with the friend should help! It is not sunny here today either and it is a real downer! Hopefully you will get some sunshine soon!
Raisins ARE delicious…i could eat them with ANYTHING ( beleive me, i mean anything! i once put them in an omelette…..is THAT weird???)
Hope your mood picks up soon, along with the weather xx
I like to take a walk when I’m grumpy. Or listen to show tunes really loudly.
Hello! So, I have finally located a store in Savannah that sells Chia Seeds and was talking to a friends about it, and put the dots together to realize that Chia pets use Chia seeds to grow the sprouts. It made me think that I would enjoy buying a Chia Pet and at the same time enjoy eating Chia Seeds in my oatmeal. Sorry if this was blatantly obvious to everyone else
Swing the grumps away.
Sometimes I forget that summer squash is great raw — thanks for the reminder! Despite starting with fresh and almost 100% local, my meals feel a bit too cooked lately. My body’s craving some of that raw crunch
Lunch looks amazing and your dress does, too! Have a great yoga class tonight…Betcha it’ll make you feel like a million bucks!
Do you have a swing at your house? How fun!
mmm, your lunch looks good!
That is a pretty peach. I hope yoga helps – I know it helps me when I’m down in the dumps.
that bread looks so good!
I think swinging outside is the quintessential sign of summer!
I am LOVING your new house and am jealous of all your Cville shenanigans! Can’t wait till I return!
The mood will pass- it always does! It’s nearly impossible to make a big life change like a move without some added stress or tension.
I laughed when I read that your sandwich was on Matt’s buns!
& I needed the laugh… I’ve been a little moody all day, so thanks for that
That sandwich looks so yummy. And I’ve been loving peaches lately. I don’t have coconut butter, but I’m going to make some because that combination sounds great!!
Have a wonderful day!
XO
Don’t let work stuff stress you out too much. I’m sure yoga will help you feel better.
Is it still chilly and overcast? Maybe you could pretend its a nice fall day. Make some apple cider and shop for school supplies. Or find a dog and play with him and get kisses, in my town they like to hang out by the coffee shops or on the trails with their guardians.
I am having a good, but slow day. I am finally starting on my first blog (so excited!) and getting everything figured out. I needed a break so I came here to look for a millet recipe. Yum!
Have a great day. It will get better!
Great idea! I’m ready for fall!!!
I think it’s just a blah day all around. Your lunch looks delicious though!

I’m confident your yoga class will help with your mood!
I’m in a bit of a funk today too. I hope yoga cheers you up!
That is all so frusterating. Just breathe a bit and know that it will all go away eventually.
I love love love that dress!! Penny sends you licks to cheer you up!!
I felt funky today too… I’d go for a run to de-stress, but I have 5 miles run planned for tomorrow… so I guess I’ll just check blogs and unwind!
Your lunch like usual looks delicious. I love that dress too. Super cute!
I love the first picture you posted. The bench is so cute!
Oh my! Thank you so much for sharing: fresh peaches + coconut butter!? That’s like… uh-mazing!!
Your lunch looks sensational!! I love mixing sweet + savory. Raisins are delicious in so many things, even meatballs.
