The Swing Of Things

August 2, 2010

I have YET to get in the swing of things. Come on article, write yourself already!!

My lunch, however, is swinging away.

IMG_8874 (640x427)

A hummus, zucchini and raisin sandwich (yes, raisins, they were delish!) on Matt’s buns

IMG_8870 (640x427)

Plus a peach, with a few almonds, drizzled in coconut butter.

IMG_8869 (640x427)

Worth waiting until hunger came at 2PM for.

IMG_8866 (640x427)

I am wearing my Mahi Gold dress again today. It’s so very comfortable!

IMG_8865 (640x427)

In other news, I’m in a very crabby mood. The sunshine has been gone for 3 days. Our internet is STILL having problems. I am behind on my workload by a lot.

I’m meeting a friend for a yoga class tonight and hopefully that will fix all of my problems!

Also, swinging helps.

Yoga is a brilliant idea to get you out of your funk! Inversions are best for raising seratonin and feeling happy again- try hanging in rag doll for a bit before you go to class. Breathe deep through class, and feel your worries just melt away…

Hmmm…I would never have thought of putting raisons with hummus & zucchini! I will have to try. Hopefully having a fun swing to sit on & your afternoon yoga class can compensate for the lack of sunshine! SMILE!!

That is one of the tastiest looking lunches I have ever seen!
Try and take it easy, the first few days after moving are always the most stressful. Just try and appreciate your lovely new house and new town!

Hello! So, I have finally located a store in Savannah that sells Chia Seeds and was talking to a friends about it, and put the dots together to realize that Chia pets use Chia seeds to grow the sprouts. It made me think that I would enjoy buying a Chia Pet and at the same time enjoy eating Chia Seeds in my oatmeal. Sorry if this was blatantly obvious to everyone else :)

Is it still chilly and overcast? Maybe you could pretend its a nice fall day. Make some apple cider and shop for school supplies. Or find a dog and play with him and get kisses, in my town they like to hang out by the coffee shops or on the trails with their guardians. :)

I am having a good, but slow day. I am finally starting on my first blog (so excited!) and getting everything figured out. I needed a break so I came here to look for a millet recipe. Yum!

Have a great day. It will get better!
