Weeks are ticking by…and in my life that’s a really exciting thing! Just 2.5 weeks until the baby is considered full term and 5.5 until ETA. Because delivery day is a completely unknown moving target, I can feel this charge building in the air as we get closer.
Breakfast this morning was a delicious bowl of overnight oats
….made with banana and blackberries, Groovy Granola and sunflower butter!
Hot tea
And Santa’s Little Helper nearby! She’s not allowed inside until breakfast is over or she tries to eat it!
Doctor’s appointment this afternoon – I’m going every 2 weeks now! Hope you all had a great weekend : )

Have a great day, Kath! You and bebe are in the home stretch!!
So, I’m thinking that I’m not hungry for breakfast yet… until I read this post. Running to the kitchen.
Thats so exciting! You’re getting so close!
Especially when there’s dairy involved, I’m sure “Santa” would be all over your breakfast
!
I can’t imagine the anticipation! Love that placemat btw!
Awww poor kitty lol. I love that tea mug!
I can’t believe you are so close! It seems like it’s flown by… though I’m sure it’s felt much slower for you in this summer heat and with all the anticipation!
I love that black and whit cloth, where did you find it?! And is that a new Pier 1 mug I spy
?
**black and whitE cloth
I believe it’s Target – and yes!
Love that mug – so colorful. On that note, time for some coffee!
eeeek! it’s getting SO close! i can’t believe it. i feel like you just barely broke the news!
Ahh how exciting Kath!! 5.5 weeks… wow the time has totally flown. Good luck at the doctor’s today!
I can clearly remember the anticipation of the due date of my first son as he was born at the end of August…he was late…but I went into labour before my inducement date. Hang in there!
Must make myself overnight oats again soon! I’ve been stuck in a rut of cereal with sliced bananas basically all summer (it’s all I’m ever in the mood for in the morning), but I should really switch it up
I wonder what Pumpkin will think of the baby?
I am so excited for you two! I can’t believe the little guy will be here so soon!
I’m a fairly new follower of your blog and have since read every post.
I’d seen overnight oatmeal before but the thought made my nose turn. Seeing all your pics, though, made me try it and I am so glad I did! I think it will be my new breakfast staple. Thank you for that!
Thank you for your blog and good luck with the next 2.5 – 5.5 weeks!
Welcome!!
Haha – little Pumpkin! I don’t blame him for wanting that breakfast – it looks delicious!
And so exciting! I can’t believe it’s only 5.5 weeks to go until the baby’s ETA!! It feels like just yesterday you got pregnant!
yes, july seems to be flying by…which is good thing for you! good luck at your appointment!
Hi Kath–first off, as a newbie blogger, I just wanted to say how much I love and enjoy your blog! You’re a blogging inspiration
Secondly, I live in Vienna, VA and there’s a Great Harvest here, too–I haven’t gone there in a while, but I wanted to know if that Groovy Granola is a GH brand? If so, do you know if it’s available at most locations?
I suppose I should just pop into my town’s GH myself but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask anyways!
Hi audrey! Many owners do make it but the recipe changes and not all do. Your best bet is to go see!
aww I’m so excited for you guys! my cats do the same btw haha always begging
I love the mug! The colors are beautiful! As always, the oatmeal looks wonderful
These next few days are going to FLY by and the baby will be here before you know it!
Haha my kitty, Ellylon, used to love to try my oats too! Now she’s over it.. too good for them I suppose! Have a great day!
Very exciting – congratulations! I love our groovy granola in everything breakfast related…it’s my favorite!!
I had overnight oats this morning too! Of the cherry vanilla variety. Oats, vanilla soymilk, cheribundi cherry juice..YUM! All that was missing was some groovy granola
Your porch is gorgeous! What a lovely way to spend mornings, afternoons and evenings…
How exciting! Love overnight oats, especially in the summer.
These overnight oats are delicious! I finally tried the recipe and i’m hooked! I’m having a small debate whether almond butter or sunflower butter is healthier/better- any insight?
I consider them to be equals
Don’t underestimate the sooner rather than later window of delivery – I did. And was caught by surprise
that’s so exciting to know that in just 2.5 weeks your baby will be ready and healthy even if he comes early!
Woww being so close to delivery must be quite intense! But since you’re so healthy and strong, no matter what, I’m sure things will go dandy
You’re smack dab in the spot that I recollect on being the most special moments in my life (4 kiddos). I adore the last weeks of pregnancy, the anticipation, the joy, the waiting for a miracle…..sigh…(enjoy!).
That sneaky little Pumpkin
i love that he’s a regular around your place. Orange kitties are my favorite! I have one myself and he’s a little sneak too as well as very determined to be on every lap!
There is nothing more exciting than the approach of delivery day!
Pumpkin knows where the “real food/yummy food” is at

I love the black and white cloth. I suspect that your baby will love it as well. Babies love high contrast . I’ll bet he would be happy to just stare at it if you lie him on it or hang it near him so he can see it.
Oats sound yummy! Love the new mug!
