Anyone else feel the Friday Creep? The pace of the world begins to slow a bit. Less emails arrive in my inbox. Brains start pondering weekend plans – like dinner out tonight! The weekend is creeping up behind us.
I went to Body Pump and then headed home on my bike for a quick lunch. I’m headed to the bakery right after I finish typing – word is our sign company is there installing the new interior signs!
Lunch:
I made a half batch of Lavender Crunch Hummus and served in on literally the last fresh food in this house! The end of a container of spinach, a lone orange we got from the Montalto race 2 weekends ago, Cinnamon Chip with a dazzle of honey! [Yes, dazzle, not drizzle!]
Despite being old, this orange was surprisingly juicy!
And in honor of Tina’s cookie Friday – I ate the last of my aunts mini oatmeal secret recipe cookies from the freezer!
Hard Core
The winner of the CORE bag was Caroline M! I emailed her just now, so if your name is also Caroline M., I apologize for not having a better way to announce the winners!
Happy Weekend!!!!

I was hoping I would win the core bag, oh shucks! Hope you will have an Open Sky promo on it soon.
Even my Body Pump instructor on Friday is not as energetic as the one on Monday. Maybe she is feeling the Friday creep too.
I cant wait to see the interior signs!! Looking forward to the big opening day!!
haha what a funny name! Yeahhh I noticed more and more the friday creep when I started blogging not too long ago. I guess it’s because everyone’s somehow connected and you can see it more visually perhaps? Have a beautiful day Kath!
So, when I first read the title I thought you meant “creep” as in a creepy guy or something. I thought–hmm, this should be a good story!!! Clearly, that was not where you were going with that, lol.
Yes, I’m definitely feeling the Weekend Creep and I can’t wait for it to get here! 2 1/2 more hours to go!! Wooot! That photo of the little red flower is so gorgeous. Have fun at the bakery!
So exciting how close everything is getting for the bakery!!!
This lunch presentation is PERFECT! Definitely a fabulous, light, Friday meal!
Happy weekend to you too!
I LOVE simple salads with greens and hummus that looks delicious!
Friday has been creepin’ on me since Thursday. Whew. I must be super excited for the end of the world.
Cookie Friday?! Yesssss, please!
Happy Friday
“Anyone else feel the Friday Creep? The pace of the world begins to slow a bit”–YES I feel that, always!
And yay for less emails.
And to prove i DO read, I think you mean to say ate, not hate, here:
“And in honor of Tina’s cookie Friday – I hate the last of my aunts mini oatmeal secret recipe cookies from the freezer!”
Because those look like pure love, no hatin’ there
Enjoy your weekend, Kath!
Haha – yes – oops! I am just full of typos this week!
Gorgeous lunch – I’m always so jealous of all that amazing bread.
Fridays are so delicious. Enjoy your weekend, Kath!!!
I have never had honey on bread before… you’ve convinced me. I’ll have to wait until June 3rd to try it!!
I sort of get that with Fridays. Mostly the work day goes by soooo slow because I look at the clock constantly because I want to start my weekend ASAP!
YAY! It’s Friday
The slowest & best day of the week. My favorite time of the week is Friday at 5:31 because that’s when I just leave from work and have the whole weekend ahead of me!!
I’m with you on the Friday Creep! Seems like the world starts slowing down and amping up for the weekend!
I wish I felt a Friday creep! No one at my job seems to respect Friday afternoons as a time for forward-thinking and relaxation (nor do they particularly respect weekends, for that matter, so maybe that explains it).
Happy weekend to you, too!! Salad looks yummy, so does the cookie.
In addition to the “friday creep” – I also get the friday afternoon ADD and can’t seem to concentrate on ANYTHING!!
Your lunch looks way better than mine was!
Happy weekend!
Woo, weekend! Isn’t it just the best feeling? Enjoy dinner out tonight.
Man – your posts remind me often of where I’m working towards being. A few years ago I was a regular at BodyStep, Pump, and Jam but I didn’t eat well. Now I eat really well but don’t have much time for gym classes or workouts that aren’t with a running group or ultimate frisbee. I’d love to get to a point where I can cook my meals, attend fun gym classes and still have time for me! Your lunch looks divine, btw. I love that your salads tend to be so simple and easy!!
Things do get quiet come the weekend. Guess the focus is on family -where it should be
You guys are making quite the progress with the new store. You must be getting more and more excited every day. What an exciting year!
Crunchy hummus sounds so good! And I’m feeling the week slowing down, too. It feels like the minutes are passing slower than ever.
Kind of a random question. . . how long did Matt work at Great Harvest before you guys pursued opening your own store?
2 years!
Between your blog and the pictures of your husband baking, nothing has ever made me crave BREAD so much in my life. I’ve never been to a Great Harvest, but I think I need to hunt one down.
woah friday really crept up on me – i had no idea it was the weekend already!
That bread looks delicious!
Happy weekend to you too
Oh how I love the Friday Creep. It’s sheer bliss for the inbox. Only if it were empty that would be even better!
I love when Friday creeps up on me! SO happy it is here
ahh that hummus looks delicious!
Happy Weekend to you, also. Impressed you made such a nice lunch out of almost nothing.
I definitely feel the creep! I also am taking a 4 day weekend so I am very excited
For being the last fresh food in the house, it still looks like a yummy lunch! Happy weekend!
Happy weekend is RIGHT! I am so excited to just relaaaax….too bad I have 4 essays to write
I wish I had some creeepiness on my Friday! Things have been so hectic with end of the year teacher junk. Hopefully this weekend will be relaxing.
I’m so excited for the weekend! I for sure felt that “the weekend is just about here feeling”. It may have to do with the fact that I have a date night tomorrow at Melting Pot!
I’m really looking forward to it.
Whenever I use the last of whatever we have in the kitchen, it gives me a sense of accomplishment, lol. I hate wasting food, so it feels really good to finish what we started.
you’ve gotten me hooked on honey salads. obsessed.
The flowers are gorgeous!
The orange livens up the greens.
The Grand Opening is right around the corner.

I love watching your bakery grow! I’m sure you’ll get good pics of the signs!
I definitely didn’t feel the Friday creep today. I work at a farm for the summer and it was an absolute zoo today!
between that bread and the hummus that looks like such a good lunch!
Oh shucks I missed cookie friday! I guess I have no choice but to make up for it today
!
It’s already Saturday late afternoon here… wish it were Friday, so there was more time before back to work Monday! :S
I made a HUGE batch of GF cornbread and I’ve been enjoying it with lots of honey!
