Swag Down, Feet Up

August 5, 2011

^^ Story of my life!

I am having the most glorious resting session in my hotel bed!! I can’t even tell you how nice it feels to put my feet up. My flats left my heels aching!

I explored around this afternoon, peeking into some of the sponsor lounges

IMG_5136 (427x640)

And stumbled upon afternoon snack covered in chocolate!

IMG_5138 (640x427) IMG_5140 (640x427)

I had a choco apricot!

IMG_5137 (640x427)

I ventured outside to find the most glorious day! It feels like October out there!

IMG_5145 (427x640)

IMG_5146 (640x427)

I met Roni and some Fitbloggin’ folks at Pinkberry. I wasn’t going to get anything – but then I got hungry!

I had the watermelon flavor, which tasted like strawberry (in a good way) with raspberries, coconut and mixed nuts. It was a great little snack!

IMG_5147 (427x640) (2)

I literally collapsed on my bed to chill for an hour.

Swag highlights:

Mini boxes of oatmeal squares!! One of my favorite cereals ever!

IMG_5150 (640x427) (2)

New feminine product to try…I will try to blog about this!?

IMG_5151 (640x427)

Full size beauty!!

IMG_5152 (640x427)

A Tempurpedic pillow! This will be great for the airplane ride home

IMG_5153 (640x427)

And San Diego beers from Tammy!!

IMG_5154 (427x640)

I’m going to have to unpeel myself from my bed to get dressed and head back to the conference for a little partying! This will be a challenge.

The card def made me laugh. Isn’t funny though too if someone tries to act like they didn’t know something even though they did read it on your blog??

I would have been all OVER that chocolate pineapple. I’m actually strangely intrigued by the softcup, haha. (Those are two very weird sentences to be next to each other)

Such a rough life having to go socialize! I kid. What nice goodies! Full size is kind of a big deal!!!

Those chocolate goodies look yummy too!!!

How is Matt doing holding down GH while you’re gone? I mean women do run things! ;-)

hahaha, first the vagina model and the mention of vibrators and now this! I’m looking forward to seeing how you manage to blog about it :D Have fun tonight!

I’m sure someone else will bring this up, but if you like the idea of the softcup, you should try something like the diva cup. It’s the reusable alternative. The softcup’s flimsy-looking “cup” part looks like it’d be difficult to insert and remove. The firmer silicon of the diva cup makes it relatively easy.

I agree! I have a diva cup and love it. I highly recommend checking it out.

8 Mahealani @ Pu'uhonua August 6, 2011 at 12:53 am

I love my Diva Cup! Been using it for about 5 years now and it is a much superior product to the soft cup, just sayin’. :)

I’m a diva cup fan as well. The only advantage of the softcup over the diva cup would be being able to wear it during sex.

I’m not going to lie. I had to google softcups. Never heard of them! Verrrrrrry interesting. haha

I so wish we had a Pinkberry here! In fact I wish we had a frozen yogurt place here in general.. The best thing I’ve got is Bagel Mania’s Gelato. Haha.

Ballast Point brews some of the best beers I’ve had. I think you will definitely enjoy those, even thought they are IPA they are pretty smooth and even toned.

Just heard of Pinkberry when I had friends in town this week. IS it only in California? Will you be back in your own hometown by Monday? Planning to stop by GH to see you.

Dessert’s the best part!! ;) And swag, of course.

That card reminds me of a few conversations I’ve had with my parents a few times. I usually have to ask “Have you read my blog today?” before I start telling them about it. Otherwise I’d just be repeating myself!

I <3 that coconut shampoo, but be careful of the serum! It's awesome but you only need the tiniest droplets ever or you will have greasy hair! :)

Glad you are having some DOWNTIME. I just posted an hour or two ago about Calm Time. And that I need some. After go, go, going for a month with trips, moving into a new house, work, my lil one, life in general…I am looking forward to some calm time. Or at least a chill weekend :)

“I ventured outside to find the most glorious day! It feels like October out there!”–
Everyone is shocked to know that it’s ALWAYS like this downtown and surrounding areas of San Diego (not til you get inland does it get hotter).. These are our “dog days” of summer. Pretty nice, huh! :)

Haha, I love that card. I hate when I’m in the middle of a convo with a friend and think to myself “I totally blogged about this, does she not read it or is she just being nice and not telling me that she knows already?”
Hope you got a second wind, conferences can be so draining!

Kinda bummed that I’m not at BlogHer this year. Re: the Softcup, I believe there are Diva Cup reps there, too. Maybe check them out. I tried a disposable menstrual cup years ago and didn’t like it, but then got a reusable one (the Keeper, which is the same thing as the Diva Cup but made of rubber) and I LOVE it. Everyone I know who uses the Diva Cup or the Keeper is pretty evangelical about it. /hippie

Mmmmm, I adore coconut anything! But, I have to say that I am not a Pinkberry fan (though I do LOVE their floors!!!). It’s just a bit too $$ and I like having control over my own ingredients/portions. If you ever see a Menchie’s, you should definitely try it. While their plain tart isn’t as creamy as Pinkberry, they have a better selection of flavors and toppings, AND they’re self-serve!

I use that coconut hair swag. I love it.

When you use the hair syrum, a small droplet is plenty enough to tame frizz. Don’t put too much or your hair will look really oily. I usually apply on the ends only.
