Sleep till my eyes open.
Step outside and take in the day.
Make oatmeal for two while the early riser sleeps
Gobble it down.
This fabulous bowl was Coach’s Oats made with whipped banana, milk, chia seeds, vanilla, pinch salt and topped with Jam According to Daniel (the end of my jar!) and Wild Squirrel Vanilla Espresso Almond Butter plus local granola. It was a fabulous bowl!
Enjoyed with a mug of coffee!
The salad is ready to eat!

Mmm just had fresh greens last night. All the difference in the world!
I slept til my eyes opened today too. Unfortunately that was 6am!
Jealous of your lettuce beds!
What a champ you are in the garden – I can’t even keep rosemary alive!
That’s what I love about Sundays
Such cute little gardens! I wish I had a green thumb (or a yard) in which to make that happen too…
What a beautiful way to start your Sunday. Your oatmeal looks especially tasty today. Must be the amazing lighting from the SUN?! Have a wonderful day
Love my ritualistic Sunday mornings too..best part is coffee in bed
!
Your cheese box looks great on the counter!
I really want a garden to look like that!! Right now mine are all in pots…
Your gardens look beautiful! Did you start with seedlings or seeds?
Seeds for the greens, seedlings for the veg/tomatoes
Yummy! Looks like pb&j for breakfast. Nothin’ better than sleeping as long as you need and knowing a fresh salad is somewhere in your future! Enjoy the day!
Enjoy these last few Sundays of sleeping til your eyes open before it turns into sleep until the baby needs you
Enjoy your day!
That bowl does look good, so many colors and textures!
lovely Sunday morning post. Love that first picture of your yard
So jealous of your garden!!
Sounds like a perfect way to kick off a Sunday…enjoy the rest of your day
I have pretty much the same Sunday ritual: sleep until I feel like it, take at least an hour to enjoy my coffee and breakfast, and let the day start slowly. Looks like a beautiful day there! Enjoy it.
I love your square foot garden! So jealous I don’t have one of my own (moving to an apt. will be planting container garden soon).
oatmeal looks delicious, too!
That bowl looks so delicious, and I think it has all my favorite things in it!
Your garden looks great! Ours is still in the baby stages. I
I’ve got salad greens popping up all over in the garden, too! Need to start doing more chomping + blending! =)
Wow….your garden looks great! It has really taken off and grown.
Looks like a beautiful day.
Love Sundays too, we always have a big family breakfast after church.
I love waking up naturally on Sunday mornings..There’s no better feeling than habing you body tell you, “HEY! I’m ready to go.”
What is in the third raised bed with the trellis type support?
Tomatoes!!
Do you sell Jam According to Daniel at the Great Harvest store? I would love to buy some, but I think you can only buy the jam in bulk.
http://faithfulsolutions.blogspot.com/
We have requested it, but he is a little short on supply. I think you can only buy in bulk from his website, but you can certainly get it by the jar at the market (guessing that’s a bit too far of a drive for you
)
Yes, it is too far to drive
Do you think he would ever sell the jam on Amazon’s Web site? I would definitely buy some then.
http://faithfulsolutions.blogspot.com/
Probably not. He’s a small, local producer.
do you think it would be possible to sell some of your local favourites on opensky?
I’d love to do something like this, but I don’t think I’d be able to do a collection of things without warehouse space (and a lot of work!) We did Shenandoah Joe’s coffee and of course the Cville Cluster granola…. I don’t think Daniel’s production would be able to supply an online sale. No Bull Burgers is a possibility though!!
ENJOY sleeping in!!! I remember how much I would enjoy it when I was preggers……
Your garden looks great! Breakfast looks yummy too!
that bowl of oats looks SO GOOD
nut butter + jelly/jam/preserves = heaven
sundays are my favorite! i assisted and shot a summer cooking class for newlywed couples last night at ICE in NYC, lots of beautiful fresh ingredients…and full bellies! check it out if you want!
