Both the swag bags and me are stuffed with wonderful foods!!!
This morning we met with the event coordinators at the Radisson to square away all of our room set-up and establish a place to stuff 125 swag bags full of TONS of goodies!
BOXES and boxes of stuff that has been accumulating in Heather’s house!
A sneak peek swag item – Glo Bars by Angela!! We all had to open an extra one to sample ASAP, as we’ve been reading about Ange’s bars for ages. YUM!! We loved them – they were so good and reminded us of Kashi’s PB TLC bar, but fresher!
At noon we made the trek to Cambridge for lunch, stopping at Boston Commons for photography!
We caught the T out to Cambridge
And arrived at Small Plates!
The owners Stephanie and Jerome read Tina’s blog and treated us to the most beautiful and delicious blogger lunch!
Cheers! To blogging!
I had 2 small glasses of a fab Vouvray –
We had gorgeous printed menus at each place – read through to see the delectable courses!
Here they are!!
The cheeses were a HUGE hit!!
The bread was homemade and fabulous – I had half a slice.
Gazpacho
My favorite was the puff pastry “pizza” with arugula, peppers, butternut squash and truffle oil!
Scallops, forbidden rice, caper berry
Eggplant bruschetta for the vegetarians –
The food was stunning and I wish I could describe each of the flavor combinations.
I had at least a taste of each course, but we all filled up so fast!! It was too hard to photograph each bite, so I kept the food in its
But when the cupcakes, make just for us by Stephanie’s friend who owns Babycakes & Confections, came out, all of our eyes lit up! Carrot Cake, Vanilla Raspberry Filled + Espresso Ganache. I liked the raspberry the best!
My slices (plus a bit more frosting!)
Thank you so much to Small Plates for treating us!!!!!!! I hope to return on my next trip to Boston
T ride home full!
We spent the afternoon stuffing more bags. I swear these are the best swag bags EVER!!! I was out of breath at times!!
Then we went up to get glammed for the cocktail party tonight – Summit Kick-Off!!!
Honestly, the Radisson is one of the most stylish and convenient hotels I have ever stayed in! I love my fluffy bed
Full length mirror
Subway tile
Green tea shampoo
Balcony
Plush carpet
Huge desk in the middle of the room (not in a corner)
Thing to hang things on!
Huge double door closet – it’s all just like HOME!
I think my hair got blonder – those highlights are 100% natural –
Who’s ready to PAR-TAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Hi! This is my first time commenting to you, but I have been reading your post for a while now!! I’m from just outside Boston and it’s so much fun to read about your exploring there…although it does make me a little homesick!(I just moved to Australia in July for grad school!) I’m so jealous that you get to do what you do…it’s like my dream life and it’s fun to at least live it right now through you
…I would love to be going to those large events and doing the little swag bag stuffing! (I worked as an event planner for a year in the food & beverage department!) If you don’t mind me asking…how did you get involved in all of this? Is it all about who you know, luck, searching, etc? Please let me know because I would love to get involved any way possible(even remotely!)
lunch looked AMAZING! keep up the hard work!

Lindsey ,
I feel pretty lucky myself! I’m not sure if you mean blogging in general or the Summit planning, but everything has just of happened as it happened. I never would have guessed I’d be a pro blogger planning an event like this 2 years ago. But I’m so glad this is how it worked out!
Cait,
LOL!!!!!!
