Stock Market

August 29, 2009

I woke up not very hungry this morning so I made a liquid breakfast that I could take with me on the road to the farmer’s market. But turns out I just ate it all here and am headed to the market as soon as I finish typing!

Into my smoothie I put 1 tbsp chia soaked in 1/2 a cup of milk for a few mins

IMG_1491 (480x640)

Half of one of these Vega packets I got at the Summit

Plus a banana, 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese and a handful of ice.

On the side for chew, a small piece of Cinnamon Raisin Walnut with Barney Butter and the best Charlottesville jam

It wasn’t very filling, but that was my goal!

After breakfast I took stock of our pantry and fridge and came up with a rough meal plan for the week. I’ve got lots of shopping to do today – Farmer’s Market, Trader Joe’s, Target, Costco!

I am scurrying to the market and back now in time to meet Whit and Stacey for a run at the greenway!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

The other week I tried on of those vega smoothie packs and thought I was going to through up! I had tried the berry flavor and was wondering what flavor you used in your smoothie today–maybe it’s just the berry flavor that isn’t so tasty?! Your toast also looks so yummy…nom nom nom.

I saw you at the Farmer’s Market this morning (you were in line ahead of me at Grateful Growers) but I didn’t want to invade your privacy. Next time I will say hi. : )

Have fun at the Farmer’s Market! I try to stay away from ours because I get into trouble…it’s so fun yet so expensive! I belong to a CSA so I get plenty of organic local produce that I’ve already paid for ;-)

That looks yummy! I’ve never had Chia Seeds….will have to give them a try!

I had a liquid breakfast too — chocolate protein powder, 1 cup of frozen berries, 1 tb of natural PB and a little Renew Life Fiber Smart. :-)
