Soup + Snacks

Test is over. w00t! It went well as tests do go.

I met my friends at EF for a little studying beforehand. I did a half-and-half lunch: half from home, half there.

Unfortunately they didn’t have my favorite soups on the buffet, but I found a Gypsy soup that I liked. And bulked it up with more veggies from the hot bar!

I also brought a tortilla from home

It was very filling -

But after I came out of my test I needed some fruity replenishment in the form of an organic honeycrisp from my free bag. GOSH these are the best apples ever! So, so juicy that it’s like apple juice in my mouth!

I got home in the 4:00 hour and found two packages on my doorstep. Regional Best sent me a gift certificate to check out some of the cool products they feature. I browsed through hundreds of awesome gourmet products but decided on two of my very favorites: granola + PB!

This granola – The Best Damn Granola – is all about FIGS! With figs, coconut, flax, raisins, pecans, walnuts + almonds it’s totally half chew, half crunch. LOVED the figs!!!!

I had a half cup of TJ’s Euro yogurt topped with about a quarter cup of the granola for the Best Damn Snack

Annnnnndddd about another quarter cup from the bag :) Can’t wait to open the Naturally Nutty!!

Matt’s home and I gotta go tend to his condition. He’s doing much better but I convinced him to take a Benadryl. It’s poison ivy for sure! He removed that vine bare-handed with no clue :(

Great job on the test! And I love that PB–couldnt live without it. And I think I’ve seen that granola at the farmer’s market near me from the people who make it. I’ll have to get some now

Figs, huh? I always think of figs as old-people food. I should get out of my little box and try them, since clearly, young folks enjoy them as well!

Oh poor Matt, glad the benadryl is helping.

Those apples are amazing, I don’t usually like apples but honeycrisp definitely change my mind!

Yikes! The Benadryl should help a lot. Did you know that some people are immune to poison ivy? My mom is one of the lucky ones – she has no reaction to it! Weird, huh?

I HATE poison Ivy but I’m VERY familiar with it. Wash the sheets every night so the oils don’t get on you or keep irritating him. You can buy a wonder called “Oatmeal Bath”…at Walgreens, awesome stuff!

Have a great night!

Hey Kath – Quick question: I’ve had flax meal in the cupboard for about two months (I didn’t know I had to refrigerate it) should I throw it away?

Thanks!!

I won a jar of that same peanut butter from jen a prior fat girl! It’s awesome. I’m inventing ways to eat peanut butter to eat more of it. I’m interested to see what you think about it or if you have a peanut butter you like better.

My husband loves the Best Damn Granola – it is from our area and the woman who makes it is always at our Farmers Market! It is so great to support local businesses! I hope you enjoy.
