So Cool It’s Hot

July 15, 2011

Bright morning to you! We have another gorgeous cool fall morning. [By the way, the AC has been back off for 2 days and Iā€™m loving it!]

4.26 miles = done!!

Shower = done!

Giant bowl of delicious fluffy Scottish muffin-top sunflower butter blackberry banana oats?

Done and done!

And super duper delicious!

Iced coffee on the side. Necessary to counter the hotness.

Bakery to pick up bread

ACAC up 29N as a guest speaker for a weight loss group at my gym

Bank to challenge a fraud expense on our business card. UGH.

Wine tasting!?

Beer tasting!?

Simple dinner.

That is one busy day!

Your breakfast bowl looks yummy.

2 Lisa @ Sunny Seed Stories July 15, 2011 at 8:39 am

I love how everything in your oatmeal photo matches so nicely. What a great start to your morning! :)

3 Aine @ Something to Chew Over July 15, 2011 at 8:40 am

Looks like you’ve got a lot happening today! But you’ve got off to a great start with a run and a yummy breakfast.

Have a good one :)

4 Cait's Plate July 15, 2011 at 8:41 am

I definitely could have used iced coffee today. I was sweating a little while eating mine this morning. Haha.

Good luck with your to-do list – at least most of it looks like fun stuff! (not the bank part of course – I HATE when fraud charges show up, so annoying. just had to deal with that last week!)

5 Cait's Plate July 15, 2011 at 8:42 am

PS – DYING over that place mat! Where did you get it??

6 KathEats July 15, 2011 at 8:43 am

It’s a tea towel my grandmother/mom gave me

7 Ashley @ Coffee Cake and Cardio July 15, 2011 at 8:43 am

Have a fantastic day!! Boo on the fraud… hopefully the bank will work with you to figure it out.

Enjoy the beer and wine tasting tonight! Sounds like a lot of fun!

8 Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table July 15, 2011 at 8:47 am

Wine AND beer tasting?! Lucky you. :)

Hopefully it cools down a bit this weekend as predicted.

9 Hilliary @ Happily Ever Healthy July 15, 2011 at 8:47 am

Sounds like a busy busy Friday! Beer and wine tasting sound like fun! Breakfast looks delicious as always! Have a great Friday, and good luck at the bank, I hope the bank works with you to help you guys out!!

10 Angie @ Musings of a Violet Monkey July 15, 2011 at 8:47 am

Ugh – the bank/fraud charge thing… what a pain. I’ve had THREE fraudulent charge issues on three different debit cards (and two different banks) over the past year. It is frustrating and time consuming.

It FINALLY feels a bit bearable here in Clt this morning. Not cool per se, but I’ll take it!

11 Gina @ Running to the Kitchen July 15, 2011 at 8:49 am

Ugh fraud expense…good luck! I’ve been lucky with those when they happen, my credit card has just reimbursed us no questions asked.

12 [email protected] July 15, 2011 at 8:50 am

Oh no~there are so many good quirks owning a business and yet so many things behind the scenes that can be so burdensome! But you can do it Kath!! And that’s a super busy day, so have a great one girl! <3

13 Katie @ cooklaughmove July 15, 2011 at 8:53 am

I had a fraud issue a couple years ago on my credit card and it was a HORRIBLE headache. I actually filed a compliant against Capital One with the Better Business Bureau and still never got it solved satisfactorily.

I hope you have better luck!

14 Liz @ Tip Top Shape July 15, 2011 at 8:55 am

Sounds like a full day!!! Just soldier through until the wine tasting!

15 Cait @ Cait hates Cake July 15, 2011 at 8:56 am

Wine tasting, Beer tasting, Dinner, Rest. Sounds perfect šŸ˜‰

16 WIERDGREENMAN July 15, 2011 at 8:57 am

I want your day! Besides the bank trip. Credit card fraud sucks.

17 Casey July 15, 2011 at 9:01 am

Your day sounds awesome! :) Enjoy!

32 Sarah @ Sarah's Modern Bites July 15, 2011 at 10:09 am

I feel that days like that go by super fast!!! Awesome that you got that run in first thing… running first thing in the morning always seems to relax me and puts me in a great mood ready to take on the day :) I am def an agenda/to do list kinda gal as well. It’s like if you jot it all down it’s off your mind and you can just go with it and actually think rather than worrying what you have ahead of you!

33 Nikita July 15, 2011 at 10:14 am

Sounds like a fun day ahead!
PS- I love that placemat!

37 Kristen, Sweetly July 15, 2011 at 10:38 am

Love the towel, and the mug! Adorabel accompaniments to such a pretty morning. Sounds like you’ve got a great afternoon going. Wine tasting?? Yes, please.

38 kaila @ healthy helper! July 15, 2011 at 10:40 am

39 Meg July 15, 2011 at 10:46 am

Kath, you forgot to add “Friday dance” to your list šŸ˜‰

40 KathEats July 15, 2011 at 12:52 pm

Haha – indeed!! Except now that I work Saturdays, the Friday dance has mellowed and the Sat. dance takes over!

43 Hillary July 15, 2011 at 11:00 am

I hope that:
1. you sort out those fraud charges.
2. the question marks on “beer and wine tasting” go away and turn into exclamation points.

; )

Looks like u have a busy Friday on your hands !

54 Sof July 15, 2011 at 2:34 pm

Kath– I tried Body Pump today for the first time today and thought of you the whole time. It was brutal, but I did enjoy it. However, I was a little lost, everyone kept taking off weight, putting it on, my whole body was shaking! Have you noticed any differences in your body appearance since you started?

Happy Friday :)

55 Melissa July 15, 2011 at 6:10 pm

If you have time, speak to the instructor right before your next class about how much weight you should use for different exercises. Usually, my instructor tells everyone how much they should put on when we start a new muscle group. The shaking will go away after a while.

56 KathEats July 15, 2011 at 8:46 pm

I’ve definitely noticed muscle gain. Start with lighter weights and add on as you get used to the movements. Great job for giving it a go!

57 Brittany @ Itty Bits of Balance July 15, 2011 at 3:42 pm

61 Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin July 15, 2011 at 7:54 pm

62 Hannah July 15, 2011 at 11:57 pm

Why not beer and wine tasting? šŸ˜€

63 Rosemary July 16, 2011 at 6:04 pm

Do you have the recipe for this delicious looking oatmeal??

64 KathEats July 16, 2011 at 10:16 pm

Check the Tribute To Oatmeal page for my basic recipe!

65 Koko @ July 17, 2011 at 11:53 pm

Is it bad that I sort of want to move in with you so you can make me these delicious breakfast bowls every morning? This one looks particularly AMAZING.

66 watercolor nutritionist August 23, 2011 at 6:17 am

I would be interested to read a post on beers from you. Have you and Matt ever made one by yourself?
