Sneaky In The Sky

I’m so sneaky. I have Wifi on this flight too, but it was going to charge me. So I just created another account  and got the first-time-free promo again

Lunch was consumed around noontime SFO time mid-air. Chelsea let me pack a lunch to take with me. So glad or I would have starved!!

Two slices of sprouted grain bread with Sabra and red pepper. Yum!

Plus a carrot

And this delicious crunch freeze-dried fruit

Plus a KERF Cocktail: soda + cranberry

And Biscoff!

I’m really not feeling that great today. I feel kind of achy and worn down. Hope I’m not coming down with something! I think the weekend just wore me out and I’m a wee bit sleep deprived.

I was able to charge my computer a bit in ATL and was going to have this pear but we started boarding. I ended up having my apple and a few almonds instead because the apple was less juicy = less messy.

We ended up sitting on the runway for 40 minutes in ATL. Not cool. Matt has dinner waiting for me at home!!

Going to Twitter and email until my battery dies again….ready for home sweet home <3

I sat on the runway at ATL for over an hour in the Summer. What’s with that airport?!

Haha, I love how you pack a giant carrot. Nibble like a rabbit? ;) I need to try doing that sometime. I think you’ll feel a whole lot better after that lovely dinner and some deep sleep.

Ha, I’ve done the same thing to get extended free internet. Multiple identities is OK when you’re in the sky, right?

Yay for Biscoff!! I hope you’re able to fend off sickness. I was just with my nieces this weekend and I was Purell and Airbone-ing like a maniac! Haha. I bet Matt can’t wait to see you!

Hopefully after you get some rest you’ll feel better. Traveling always makes me feel run down. I’m sure sleeping in your own bed will help.

Flying always takes it out of me. You will be just fine after a night in your own bed. I was wondering, how do you ask for that special cocktail on planes? I always feel weird asking from special requests on planes.

http://closetcooking.blogspot.com/2009/04/baked-sweet-potato-oatmeal-with-pecan.html

Saw this and thought of you!

The recipe has 4 servings but I calculated it for one. I am trying it tomorrow with a sweet potato I microwaved for lunch Monday but didn’t eat.

.375 cup steel oatmeal
1.125 almond milk
.375 sweet potato
1 T agave nectar
ΒΌ tsp vanilla extract
.125 tsp salt
.125 cup brown sugar
.125 cup pecans
1 T flour
.75 tablespoon butter

Oh and I am going to use agave vs. maple syrup because 1. I have low blood sugar and 2. I don’t even have any maple syrup.

Stephanie,
I just ask for soda with a splash of cranberry.

Tieghan,
Soak overnight, rinse, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until I can taste one and eat it and I like the chew.

Kathleen,
YUM!

Guess the not so lovely weather we’ve been having here in ATL kept you guys. I’m with Amendi, next time you’re stuck we can have a little ATL readers get together!

I bet you are really glad to be home — looks like you’ve had an AMAZING weekend! :)
