Smoothie for breakfast!! I had a hard time deciding between a smoothie or cereal and so I combined them in one.
In the bowl:
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1 tiny banana
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup yogurt
Toppings:
- Morning O’s
- Chia sprinkle
- Coconut sprinkle
- Wild Squirrel PB – my drippiest in house
Water spiked with juice on the side

What refreshing breakfast! I was wondering… what kind of yogurt you use in your smoothies? I usually just use a banana and milk and as a base, but I imagine adding the yogurt would make it thicker and more bowl-worthy
. Have a great Monday!
Whatever I have on hand – Oikos today or any plain yogurt
I had O’s cereal this morning too! Mine was Peanut Butter Cheerios. Yum
Have a great Monday!
i haven’t had a smoothie bowl for breakfast in forever! it looks like this week is supposed to be warmer, so i might have to whip one up one day.
The cereals are back! Smoothies works really well in the mornings. I need to start my juicing again! Enjoy your day lady
Your smoothies in a bowl always look so good with all the toppings on top, I still have to try one, I am afraid it will be too watery!
Watery as in water or liquidy? Just add a little less milk and it will be nice n thick
I sometimes add cottage chees to my SIABs a la a KERF recipe from awhile back. Makes em thicker.
Looks so delicious and healthful and spring-y!
Happy Monday, Kath!
I added Morning O’s (or a similar “O” cereal) to our most recent WF list. We try to minimize cereal purchases because of the packaging (and eat homemade granola instead), but I rationalized that these were “for the baby,” literally in my case, as our 9-month-old loves the cereal crunch. The truth is that I don’t mind having them around, because I’m a fan, too
That is one colorful breakfast! Happy Monday!
What a fun idea! A little crunch to a smoothie sounds like a fun way to switch things up.
Nothing starts the week off like a matching straw and smoothie!
Love that your straw matches the smoothie color perfectly.
That looks like a perfect bowl – I love the purple and the coconut sprinkles!
It is a happy
day as long as the sun is shining, and it is warm outside–which is today’s forecast! I do not mind the winter, but do love the warm spring weather.

If you’re looking for a new combo, apple w frozen banana and loads of cinnamon is delicious…very apple pie-esque!
I’ve never tried an apple smoothie!
It’s definitely smoothie season! And that’s a pretty one. I have yet to try one in a bowl, but I have a feeling this is going to be the year. haha
Love the color of the smoothie – so bright and spring-y!
That looks refreshing, I love smoothies for breakfast and topping with some hearty cereal = perfection! Yum
SO VERY COLORFUL! Happy Monday!
I love the spiked water idea, it’s such an easy way to consume more water!
What a gorgeous looking breakfast! A good Monday morning to you too! We have sun!!!
I love putting cereal on top of my smoothies, I need that extra crunch! Have a great day!
When you can’t decide, combine. Good thinking. I do that with dessert recipes
What a great idea…combining your cereal and smoothie together!
I couldn’t say no to a purple breakfast!
It is so hot here in MD, all I want is a smoothie. I was planning on burgers for dinner, but I might need a giant smoothie instead!
I’ve been craving cereal lately but don’t have any. I should change that!
I love the mason jar with the dog on it! Where did you get it?
I like the idea of a smoothie in a bowl with cereal… I love my smoothies and my cereal, so what a fantastic idea to mix the two!
)
It’s from Lagunitas Brewery in CA
What a pretty and nutritious breakfast!
Thanks for the smoothie in a bowl idea! It’s my favorite way to eat smoothies now:)
YUM!! Loving my smoothies, especially as we move into spring. Adding cereal is on my must try list!
Thanks for reminding me about my smoothie/cereal! I had forgotten how good it is. I love to “eat” my chia smoothie in a bowl with Special K Protein cereal or Kashi Go Lean on top. YUM!
