July 28, 2010

Progress has been made! I promise you guys a peak at the decor and arrangement tonight. I gotta get back to work and so far we only have the downstairs in place. The bedrooms are still a disaster that require my attention.

We also have trips to Target, Lowes and the grocery store to make. And I have to shower!!!!

We broke for lunch around 1PM. We have quite a bit of food in the house. Leftover pizza and salad. Bread. Unlimited peanut butter. Fruit.

I decided on PB&J with salad and a peach.

But Matt’s leftover pizza looked too darn good! So I traded him half my sandwich for a slice 😉

I love salads that are all green!

IMG_8335 (640x427) (3)

The pizza tasted soooo good

I ended up eating most of my salad, my sandwich, the pizza …and saved the peach for later.

I think it’s showertime!

2 Michelle @ Give Me the Almond Butter July 28, 2010 at 2:22 pm

Sometimes you just have to give into the pizza! Sounds like the move is going smoothly, no disasters so far!

3 Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin July 28, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Mmmm I loooooove pizza. I can never be with someone who’s eating pizza and not have some!

4 Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) July 28, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Can’t wait to see it! I am sure it is starting to feel like home with your stuff in it! I hope it all comes together quickly for you!

5 [email protected] Nation July 28, 2010 at 2:24 pm

I love leftover pizza. Especially if it’s cold. I don’t know what it is, but cold pizza really does it for me.

Sweet salad!

6 Marilou @ Mostly Healthy July 28, 2010 at 2:24 pm

For a weird reason, I’ve always found delivery pizza being better the day after … ? Hmm!

7 Sam July 28, 2010 at 2:27 pm

That pizza looks so good. Where did you get it from?

8 Jessica @ How Sweet July 28, 2010 at 2:29 pm

That pizza looks awesome! I love it leftover – moreso than when we first order it!

9 Holly @ couchpotatoathlete July 28, 2010 at 2:32 pm

PB&J sounds so good right now. And I love all green salads too — they always look so fresh. I like to do so much work cleaning/organizing (unpacking) that I don’t take the time to shower or eat much — I just feel so accomplished. Then I take a nice warm shower and get it sit in my clean house! I can’t wait to see your new place all fancied up!

10 Amanda July 28, 2010 at 2:35 pm

Moving is such hard work but you guys are making great progress!!

11 [email protected]:// July 28, 2010 at 2:41 pm

Wow you are making a lot of progress, you go girl. Then you can relax.

12 Mama Pea July 28, 2010 at 2:43 pm

You must have water if you are taking a shower. I guess you won’t be forced to have a beer. Shucks.

13 tanyasDailyProductReviews July 28, 2010 at 2:45 pm

I like my pizza cold, yours looks good!

14 Freya @ Brit Chick Runs July 28, 2010 at 2:47 pm

Ooh, I agree with the 1st comment – heaven on a plate!

15 Sarah July 28, 2010 at 2:49 pm

Kath I love your blog, but I just wanted to let you know that the “peak” you promise in this post, as in a quick glimpse at something, is spelled peek. Sorry to be nit-picky, but I figure it’s always good to know these things!

16 Kristin July 28, 2010 at 5:40 pm

WOW Sarah! Some people are SO critical! Kath, you can spell peak however you want :)

17 Carrie July 28, 2010 at 9:18 pm

No, you actually can’t spell it “however you want.”

Kristin, she was sweet in her comment and merely pointed something out. No need to get so defensive, and on someone else’s behalf, at that.

18 Jo July 29, 2010 at 1:13 pm

I’m with Kristin. Relax people.

19 Courtney (Delightful Devours) July 28, 2010 at 2:51 pm

Haha cute! I often trade food with my husband so I get some yummy bites of goodness in :)

20 Daniel July 28, 2010 at 2:54 pm

That pizza looks amazing, did Matt really want to trade for half of a PB&J? Haha! 😛

21 Estela @ Weekly Bite July 28, 2010 at 2:55 pm

Leftover pizza is the best!! Can’t wait to see what you’ve done with the place!

22 Heather July 28, 2010 at 3:01 pm

It is very hard to turn down pizza!

Can’t wait to see the pictures – sounds like you have made progress.

25 amanda July 28, 2010 at 3:24 pm

Yummy peach!

26 Jasmine @ Eat Move Write July 28, 2010 at 3:36 pm

The PB&J sounds better to me than pizza. I’m out of the J! I eat pure green salads all the time too. I tend to like green veggies best.

27 Callie July 28, 2010 at 3:43 pm

That pizza looks so good. :)
I hate those days when I don’t have enough time for a quick shower. It makes me feel so yucky.
Can’t wait to see the pictures!

28 Lauren July 28, 2010 at 3:43 pm

I made homemade pizza last night and was so disappointed when my dad took the leftovers to work with him. I love pizza the day after!

29 Jackie (Peaces of Earth) July 28, 2010 at 3:46 pm

Yay for progress!! Nothing feels better than being all unpacked and settled!

30 Erika @ Food, Fitness, & Fun July 28, 2010 at 3:56 pm

Believe it or not, it’s been a about a month since I have had a PB&J! (Lately, it’s been just PB.) Now I have a serious PB&J craving….YUM! 😀

31 Mary @ Bites and Bliss July 28, 2010 at 4:09 pm

34 Judy July 28, 2010 at 4:28 pm

So glad that things are going so well for you with the move. I give you so much credit for keeping us up to date on your meals, and all that you are doing. You are a special young lady that’s for sure. Thank you for all that you inform us on. I can’t wait to see the peak, or peek what ever, when you are done.

God Bless, and still sending some prayers your way.

35 Marie July 28, 2010 at 4:46 pm

Yummm I would have gone for some of that pizza, too! Looks delicious. What pizza place is it from? I’ve only had Christian’s in Cville, I’m curious! Can’t wait to see the place :)

36 lynn (The Actors Diet) July 28, 2010 at 5:37 pm

i do love a green green salad. we never have green peppers in our houseso it’s almost always just leafy greens and cuke. sometimes brussels sprouts too and broccoli, if we’re lucky!

37 Lisa @bakebikeblog July 28, 2010 at 5:44 pm

ooooh I love pizza – and it is so good the next day too!

38 Jill July 28, 2010 at 5:45 pm

Can’t wait to see where you stash all your bowls :) Kitchen set up is the best. I love starting over with a clean slate.

39 Maggie July 28, 2010 at 6:06 pm

Super late but…congrats on the move! Love that you have pizza on your first nights in new houses :)

40 Chelsea (Chelsea's Chew and Run Fun) July 28, 2010 at 6:06 pm

I totally understand the trade-off, that pizza looks amazing! Best of luck getting everything in order, looking forward to seeing the finished decor!

41 Amanda @ Cakes and Ale July 28, 2010 at 6:09 pm

Leftover, cold pizza is my favorite. Sometimes I dip it in buttermilk ranch dressing. Is that so wrong?!

42 Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin July 28, 2010 at 6:43 pm

Haha I think you got the better side of that trade with Matt. 😉

43 Hannah July 28, 2010 at 6:44 pm

To quote a starlet who actually makes me feel sick, it looks like with taht dinner you got the BEEEEEEEEST OF BOTH WOOOOOOORLDS….. 😀

44 Maria July 28, 2010 at 6:50 pm

I have to say, Kath, you are quite an inspiration with your ability to do ALL of this plus the move and STILL blog! Glad the move is partly done!!!

45 Faith @ LovelyAsCharged July 28, 2010 at 7:55 pm

49 Diana @ frontyardfoodie July 28, 2010 at 8:28 pm

50 Wei-Wei July 28, 2010 at 8:42 pm

Wow, you guys are fast at setting up! You seem so calm with the whole move… Can you tell us a bit about how you planned? Oh, and… STOP HAMMERTIME/SHOWERTIME!

51 Paige @Running Around Normal July 28, 2010 at 8:44 pm

Haha love the pic of Matt’s pizza slices along with a sandwich slice:) Good luck getting everything in tonight!

52 Stacie @ Imperfectly Healthy July 28, 2010 at 8:46 pm

I’m glad you’re unpacking is going well! We moved all of our stuff into a new and smaller apartment and then left for a short vacation! I’ve worried about unpacking all of my stuff the entire time!

53 Emilyeatsclean July 28, 2010 at 9:13 pm

I can’s wait to see pics of your cute new place!

54 Megan (Braise The Roof) July 28, 2010 at 9:33 pm
