Doesn’t look like the Loveducks are scared of Gilbert –
As for me, I tip-toed through the yard, scanning every bush, and got in my car, slowly turned it on in case Gilbert was in the engine, and left for the gym at 7:30. I should have biked, as our front had just passed through, but the bike was in the GARAGE!!
I spent 26 minutes on the Stepmill, 20 on the elliptical, and my “i”m outta time” lifting routine: pull-ups, dips + jumping lunges. I hurried home to have a quick breakfast because I have to leave by 9:30 for a doctor’s appointment.
I picked something quick: cereal!
This about about 1.25 cups of this new Kamut Flakes cereal by US Mills -
Plus a sprinkle of Mix My Granola, blackberries, flax and milk. Oh, and a spoonful of Chocolate Vanilla Almond Butter!
I decided on some of my precious Kericho Estate Lipton today – I only have about 5 of these left to bring back memories!
Too bad I had to rush through this
Hopefully I’ll be brave enough to park in the garage when I get home!
Maybe….

Kath- don’t feel too bad about avoiding the garage…I’ve been known to do the same for a SPIDER!
Breakfast looks yummy! Have a great day!
HAHA you are so funny!!
I hope it will be okay by the time you are home!
i hope the snake is gone!
Snakes scare me too!!! I don’t blame you for parking outside
Love your bfast bow- so pretty! Where is it from?
Oh goodness, I just caught up on last night’s post – a snake would have made me jump out of my skin! Hope the snake is gone!!
Haha I would be doing the same thing =)
Last tea!? Perfect timing..I’m doing a Lipton Tea giveaway today!
Just remember all that crap about them “being more afraid of you than you are of them.” Not sure if I buy it, but that’s what I’m told. As long as he isn’t hording your stash of free samples or slithering through a trail of almond butter, I would consider it fairly safe.
Good luck with that (advice from the girl who does not currently have a snake in her garage.)
A snake is absolutely reasonable to be completely afraid of! I wouldn’t have gone in the garage either!
I love how you name the animal you are scared of….especially such a cute name!
i hate snakes!!! I would be terrified just like you
I can’t wait for fresh berries! Yummy!
Haha, the bike was sacraficed for a snake! Love it.
Ahh I’d have to move if there was a snake in my house! j/k.
Breakfast looks fabulous as always!
you are too funny! snakes creep me out, too! I hate the way they move! they can creep up on you with their slithering ways and they are SO FAST! eeeek!
Good luck avoiding him later
I love snakes! Wish I was there to help.
Hope you have a great day!
All this talk about snakes is making me think there are some in this room with me as we speak!! Yuck!
What do Kamut flakes taste like? I have never had kamut.
I love your cute plate…hope the snake is gone for good!
I hope that snake moved out of the garage by now.
I’m sure you mentioned it in the past, but do you know whether the Kericho Estate tea is available n the stores now?
My neihgbourhood gets overrun with Raccoons when the sun goes down. Not nearly as fun as ducks- though much preferred to snakes.
And you have the cutest dishes!
So scary about the snake! I need one to get rid of my mice problem though
Delicious looking breakfast!
I don’t want to sound insensitive, but I think you have very little to worry about. I know snake phobias are pretty common but I’ve never understood why people have such irrational fear of some animals/critters more than others.
Personally I’m more likely to be afraid of a dog since I’ve actually been attacked by them more than once, but I digress. Try not to worry too much, I promise they’re not as bad as you think.
Of course, this comes from a former snake owner and lover of snakes/spiders/mice and all critters everyone else seems to hate. I just want them to be loved is all
I hope Gilbert knows what’s best for him and heads on out to a place far, far away from your home!
Hi Kath!
I just got the same camera as you and am looking for a case. I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of case you have. Thanks! I hope you have a terrific day without any snakes!
Your breaky looks fantastic!
Kath,
Do you like any other greek yogurts? i saw the Chobani and like it, but there seems to be a lot of sugar. I wrote to the company who said that the sugar is “all natural” from cow’s milk and the fruit. The ingredients list sugar first THEN the fruit. What are your thoughts on this? The only other yogurt I’ll eat is Stonyfield.
Hi! New reader here. Just wanted to say I L-O-V-E your dishes! Too cute.
love the cute bowl and hate the snake. id be having a freak out still today.
I’m kind of a hot tea virgin, so don’t laugh, but why does your tea look creamy like that? Is it the tea variety, or do you mix something in it? I usually drink green teas, and I only add splenda to it.
I’m looking to change it up soon.
Thanks!
ps – your bowl is so pretty!
I would have totally freaked out if there was a snake in my garage! Aaah!
Here is their response on the Chobani.
Thanks, Kath.
Hi Lydia,
Thanks for your great question! We add no sugar to Chobani Greek yogurt. The 7g of sugar that’s listed on our nonfat plain label is from lactose, which is a naturally occurring sugar found in all milk products.
In our fruit-on the-bottom varieties, we use real fruit (which also contains natural sugar) and lightly sweeten it with evaporated cane juice so there is NO refined sugar in Chobani.
Hope this helps.
Hope all goes well at the doctor! I need to try those Kamut flakes!
Eeew I had a dream the other night that I was being “chased: by snakes! And I didn’t even think I was scared of them! I was wrong…
I’m like you- despise onions, and especially snakes. I rather eat an onion than deal with a snake! *shudders* I wouldn’t be brave enough to step foot in the garage!
I am super freaked by snakes, even ones that have cute names!!!!
I just ordered some Mix My Granola for my Mom for Mother’s Day. I am excited to see how she likes it! It was sooo much fun to make, they have TONS of options!
Lovely breakfast! We’re restocking our whole kitchen after termite tenting (ugh…) so I was stuck with instant oatmeal for breakfast. Not the same, man…not the same.
I actually like snakes…just not unexpected ones! If they’re in a zoo or somone’s pet, that’s one thing. In a garage or a hiking trail…yikes! But snakes are a sign of a healthy and biodiverse habitat…so I guess that’s good news for your garden lol
Oh good luck with Gilbert. And is that chocolate vanilla almond butter as delicious as it sounds?

I have to rush through my cereal breakfast almost every morning. It’s a bummer, but still delicious.
Kath,
Did you realize that you have had several spelling mistakes since you say the snake?? You must be scared because you never have any. Don’t stress, it’s just a creature and I’m sure Matt will be able to drive him out. Maybe he will be the St. Patrick of your garage….

Like a heartier, crunchier wheat flake??

Most of the tea is blended with other plantations that is sold in stores.
I don’t think it is
Jessica ,
I am not afraid of snakes, spiders and the like outdoors – it’s when I am TRAPPED inside with them that they terrify me.
Jenny ,
Here’s the one I have. I think there might be one that’s better fitted for my camera, but this one is big enough to fit a cord too:

I don’t blame you about the scary garage! We once had a squirrel in our basement that got upstairs (trust me, that was a crazy experience), and I wouldn’t go in our basement for 5 YEARS! Yes, I was only 4 when it happened and I was tramatized, but stil…
Thanks darlin! I think I will try that.
