It’s been a busy morning at home and I can’t wait to get over to the bakery! I’m headed there as soon as I type up this post.
Matt and I spent the morning G-chatting about pricing and I made a bunch of labels for our bread racks. It’s coming along!
I got hungry at noon and ate lunch at 12:30 – sauced!
Dr Pete’s Praline Mustard Glaze on everything!! [Matt’s Mother’s Day gift from Feast here in town]
High Five bread with sharp cheddar and glaze
And glazed salad!
It made a perfect salad dressing along with a hint of olive oil and salt
And now that my hunger has been satisfied, I depart on 2 wheels!

Aaah glazed stuff is the best! That lunch looks so awesome
This looks so delicious! I already ate lunch but this is making me hungry again! Thanks for sharing!
At first I thought it was maple syrup on your bread/cheese slice. Seems like a good idea
I thought the cheese was butter! I was thinking “hmm…she knows how to eat, but that’s a lot of butter…!”
That bread with the cheese and glaze looks unreal! Yum!
That praline mustard glaze looks scrumptious! I would be pouring it over everything too:-)
Your day sounds very productive.
Lunch looks delicious! Have fun at the bakery setting things up! I know you’re excited!
That glaze sounds (and looks) delightful!!
Looks tasty! My favourite glaze ingredient is balsamic vinegar – so simple, but absolutely delicious!
Lunch looks amazing! I need to try and create a similar sauce, it sounds delectable!
yummm I’m seeing cheese everywhere today! it’s a sign that I should have some very soon haha.
Are those honey roasted peanuts I spy?
The glaze sounds fabulous.
your lunch looks amazing, glaze sounds delicious
That glaze looks really good! I really want to try it soon.
Praline mustard glaze sounds delicious. I love adding unique ingredients to a simple meal. It’s the easiest way to spice things up a bit! I just started a new blog, I would love for you to check it out if you have the time.
Your favorite sandwich became my favorite sandwich. I can’t get enough of cheese and jam!
Perfect lunch! Love the glazing!
I love that kind of glaze! I have more of a sweet tooth rather than craving savory options, and I enjoy the sweet/salty combination the most
That sauce looks great!
I love toppings like that, when they go well on all kinds of foods. We’ve been eating our way through a container of tzaziki sauce [yogurt with cucumber and dill], and I love it as a salad dressing, a dip for crackers or chips or veggies, and a spread on bread.
Dr Pete’s Praline Mustard Glaze. I googled it after you posted about it the last time…seriously, I want it! THAT Is my kinda food. Or condiment. Condiments ARE their own food groups, right?
I am 100% sure that one day I will be in Virginia (for some reason) and you and I will share a salad and some high five.
mmm nothing like a huge salad in the middle of the day!!
It sounds like you have been getting so much done!…Yet still finding time to enjoy the little things in life like sharp cheddar cheese.
Looks delicious! But wait a minute …. “Matt’s Mothersday gift”??!! Did I miss a certain announcement?
It was from my Bear children!
I was thinking the same thing! Kinda odd to give a Mother’s Day gift to someone who is not a mother…
I am a mother to the Bears. Why can’t I have a little fun with that?
Jessa and Heather, I thought it was a fun Mother’s Day post–you should go back and check it out. Also, Kath previously posted a few times she would immediately post when ‘there is a bun in the oven’ so we don’t have to keep asking. It’s such a beautifully done blog that maybe if you try to read all of the posts, you will get a whole lot more out of it and you won’t miss out on all of the little subtle things. Also, when the children of the human type come along I’m sure Matt will have something more than a jar of mustard glaze
(which was very nice and thoughtful and looks yummy).
THat sauce looks amazing!
Yum! I love your little jar that you used for your drink.
That salad looks so fresh and delicious. What a pretty picture
glaaaze! i love pouring sauce on everything
I still think its so super cute that Matt gave you a Mother’s Day present for the bears! haha and that cheese looks divine.
Awesome salad!

So, I’ve lived in Alexandria for 5 years and JUST realized there’s a Great Harvest 2 miles from our house! How did I miss that?! I purchased a loaf of their Dakota bread. It’s delicious
Any glaze w/ the word “mustard” in it would instantly be a favorite of mine… I want to try that stuff!
i had a horrible airport lunch and am now starving and drooling over food blogs in a hotel. the salad looks great!
that lunch is beautiful! yum!
Glaze on cheese sounds amazing!
That glaze sounds so good! I’d put it on everything, too.
That glaze sounds tasty! At first I thought it was pumpkin butter. Now that I think of it, that would be a good salad topper!
That glaze on sharp cheddar looks so tasty! Your salad looks nice and crunchy too
I use straight up mustard all the time for my salad dressing. A glaze sounds even better, though, I have to admit!
I love a crispy green salad in the summer! Yummy!
Looks amazing. I love glazes on everything!
Oooh that bread and cheese combo looks so good!
Lately I’ve been loving salads, smoothies, and overnight oats. I don’t know why, but summertime makes me crave loads of healthy cold foods. I love it!
that glaze sounds so heavenly!
Your posts always make me so hungry! I’m sure you’ve never heard this.
I want some of that glaze!
Mmm I want that piece of bread, toppings included!
