Rebecca: Live, Love, Peanut Butter

I grew up having porridge for breakfast several times a week and I hated it.  Once I moved out for college I stopped eating it and vowed I would never eat it again…. fast forward 3 years later when I discovered food blogs and some fantastic oatmeal creations and I have once again hoped on the oatmeal train and this time I am LOVING IT!!!!!  Almost every day I wake up excited for my usual breakfast of pumpkin oats.  Sometimes they are overnight oats, sometimes they are stove top, sometime overnight stovetop but they are always fantastic.  The base of the bowl is always the same: 1/3 cup of oats, 1/3 cup of milk, 1/3 cup of water, 1/3 cup of pumpkin puree and a big dash of cinnamon.  However, I like to mix it up with the toppings, from various nut butters, chocolate toppings, nuts to jams and jellys.  This morning my bowl of pumpkin oats toppings were pretty basic with a tbs of Peanut Butter, 3 crushed walnuts and 1/2 a piece of Lyndt 80% dark chocolate.

This breakfast fare not only leaves my taste buds completely satisfied but my tummy full for hours, so grab your favourite bowl and makes yourself some porridge goodness to start the day :)

I have the exact same bowl from when I was a little girl! Can’t wait to pass it on one day.

Definitely one of my fave bowls of oatmeal. Can you go wrong with chocolate?
