Simple lunch today – a mish of this, a mosh of that.
Leftover ravioli over baby spinach and a honeycrisp apple
Carrots dipped in a “sauce” made from a tbsp of Chia Charger mixed with 1 tbsp of milk – to thin it out and make it easy for dipping!
A bowl of yogurt with strawberry jam
Served with the new HGTV magazine!
I’m such a sucker – I saw a commercial for this on HGTV and subscribed immediately. So glad because it’s an AWESOME magazine! They have everything from décor to DIY to house maintenance and features on beautiful houses. House magazines are my favorite, so this is great to add to the mix!

that ravioli looks good, it has been ages since I had ravioli!
LOL @ first I thought you were eating mashed potatoes
mmm a honeycrisp apple made an appearance at my lunch today too! they are the perfect apple.
I didn’t know HGTV had a magazine. I love DIY and decorating!
When we first moved (and in the months leading up to it..) I was obsessed with ALL things HGTV. It has since died down, but I wish I had known about that magazine! Woulda been all over it!
Can you quantify a “mish of this?”
Mmmm…snacky lunches are the best! That yogurt looks so good right now!
I saw in my food network mag that this was coming out soon a few months ago but didn’t realize that it was finally out! I need to go subscribe immediately!
I had a Honeycrisp apple today too – they’re my fav! I didn’t know that HGTV had a magazine. I subscribe to so many- maybe i should add another!
yum yum — lovin’ the lunch variety today.
what a wonderfully balanced meal!
I got a subscription to that magazine for my mom for Christmas. She loves it!
I love snacky lunches – and I always read magazines during lunch, it’s the perfect little break.
You always make simple look so good. It helps me to stay focused on whole foods and whole living.
That chia charger sauce is a good idea and wow, it looks so thick. Thick enough to hold up carrot sticks even after thinning it out…for baking, this could be a very interesting find. I need to check this out I’m thinking.
YAY!! That means my HGTV mag should not be to far behind. I subscribed right away as well.
I love mish-mosh lunches like that! I always find them so satisfying. The HGTV magazine thing has me laughing. I did the exact same thing with Food Network!
I cannot even turn on HGTV unless I want to completely waste the next several hours of my life. IT IS SO ADDICTING!! I had no idea they had a publication! Have I been living under a rock or is it a new platform!?
It’s only been out 6 months tops! I agree, it rocks
i like that idea of thinning out the pb! more bang for your buck that way
A little bit of this and a little bit of that…great use of your leftover ravioli. This week has been all about using up what we have in the fridge and freezer…amazing what you can find!
Those are my favorite kinds of lunches. A little bit of this and that. I love all the flavors you have going on there. It would be like eating 4 different lunches!
Holy crap! How have I not heard about this magazine before! I am completely obsessed with the HGTV channel (especially House Hunters and Property Brothers) so this sounds like it could be my new addiction. How much is it for a subscription? If it’s KERF-approved, I’m sure it’s awesome!
I also had no idea HGTV had a magazine! How cool!
Sounds like a good mix of content
I love HGTV! Definitely need to check out that magazine!
A magazine and lunch. That is perfect. Two great things to devour at once!
Wait, there’s an HQTV magazine?!? How have I not heard of this?
Now if only they’d make a Food Network, Cooking Light, and HGTV mag all in one…
I love jam in yogurt, even more so when topped with granola or graham crackers!
Mmmm I haven’t been able to find honeycrisps anywhere!
I don’t see honeycrisps at my local Meijer or stores like that outside of apple season, but I usually never have a problem finding them all the time at my local Whole Foods. Though the past couple of times they have seemed a little more… watery? Still, glad I can get them this time of year.
Love the mish mosh of ingredients!

I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now. A mutual friend of ours, Jeb, introduced me to your site. I love it!!!
New Survivor starts Feb 15th!
Oh sweet – thanks!
Oh, can I have your old issues of HGTV? That looks right up my alley!
