Greetings from the pool! I’ve got my suit on, but I think the water is still very chilly. And it’s not hot enough out to be able to handle the cold!
Midmorning I squared away some work and Matt and I hooked up with Karen, who invited us to her condo to exercise, have lunch and “sunbathe” by the pool, or in our case, “shadebathe”
We biked here – about 5 miles – and then used the exercise room for about 30 minutes (I did the elliptical).
After a quick rinse-off shower, we went down to the pool and unpacked our picnic lunch.
Leftover Tripleberry Salad
Leftover curried salmon salad on half a slice of Dakota bread
A carrot
More melon
And some more JJ Flats crackers
With some iced tea. Sunny + delish.
I brought my laptop to get some writing done.
The good news: I found Wireless.
The bad news: My battery has 10% left.
Gotta go find an outlet!
Later guys!

Sitting pretty poolside?! Lucky girl – have a fabulous and relaxing afternoon
what a nice day!
that wheatberry salad sounds good. I make one in the fall with fresh cranberries that’s awesome, but I should try a summer one.
Sounds like a fun afternoon! Too bad the water’s chilly, though. The triple berry salad looks delicious, and I love the watermelon.
Hope you can find an outlet!

Haha shadebathe – love it! Enjoy your pool time!
Your triple berry and salmon salads look so good! Seems like the perfect summer lunch.
Just wondering – why is the bread called ‘dakota bread’? Is it because of the ingredients? Or the recipe’s origins?
yay for poolside blogging! ours is too cold to swim in too…i can’t wait for the weather to get HOT!
Enjoy your time poolside!
I’m addicted to watermelon!! Hope you find an outlet soon!

Gah, if I get into any more sun today I will fry!! I got a little sunburned being at the lake yesterday, even though I was wearing SPF 70
Be careful out there….ah a nice cold pool does sound refreshing though
Have fun!
So colorful!

Look at you, being productive even on a pool day!
Haha, I prefer shade bathing to sun bathing too!

thinking about bridal showers since my bridesmaids threw me a surprise shower this weekend… you’ve done lots of wedding recaps but did you ever post pics of ur shower/bachelorette/bridesmaid brunch????
Oh, lovely watermelon. Summer is official!
Sounds like the perfect way to get some work done… outside, in the sun, by the pool! Good luck and enjoy your afternoon!
That salad looks awesome — definitely one to try!
Tried your triple berry salad today – scrumptious! Tough time with portion control with that explosion of flavors! I usually just do a savory version of wheat berry salad and this was an awesome twist on one of my favorite grains!
Megan (The Runner’s Kitchen),
I’m not really sure, but probably either the inventor’s location or where the ingredients come from?
Acadia Durham,
That would be brilliant!

I don’t really have those photos in a public-friendly format for viewing, but I s’pose I could dig some up from my computer.
